Always love when people tell you to do research instead of showing their point. It's usually a sign they don't know jack.

I'll just leave this here.
Nothing I said was wrong.
And since the only thing you said was 'wrong'. Everything you said is wrong. - KesselRules
First of all, 2005.
Second, read deeper.
It is not an X-linked trait.
It is an autosomal Sex-influenced trait.
Continue research until you understand the difference.

This is my last post to your stupid posts. If you don't have the brain to understand this, you have no hope. You think science from 2005 is just gone. You have no clue what you are talking about.
I still cannot believe you said 2005. Like that matters. The evidence matters that's it. The scientific paper (which there's more of Clearly says that Chromosome 23 and 20 are highly linked to male pattern baldness and a newer one says 7 is linked as well).
Why don't YOU do research. You clearly have no clue what you are talking.
You can't even give me one article that says 23 is not linked and refutes that article.
Oh wait you can't you just talk out of your ass.

Here's another quote from the above link "Male-pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia, AGA) is the most common form of hair loss among humans. Research has shown that it is caused by genetic factors. Numerous studies have unequivocally identified two major genetic risk loci for AGA: the X-chromosomal AR/EDA2R locus, and the PAX1/FOXA2 locus on chromosome 20." |

GIVE ME ONE STUDY! JUST ONE. That says 23 is not linked and refutes that article.

While you are ranting and telling me I am talking out of my ass.
You do know that Gene's 7 and 20 are autosomal right.
You can get baldness genes from either or both parents. It is seen slightly more often from the mothers side because of a hormone receptor on the sex chromosome... which you always get from your mother.
It is predominantly a sex-influenced trait, not x-linked.
Do a simple google search for sex-influenced and baldness.
Read it until you understand what you are reading this time.
YOU just gave me an article that mentions genes 7 and 20 and your original statement was that you get it from your mother.
You are wrong, period.
Oh, and stop the name calling, especially when you are wrong, by your own evidence ! |

If you ever learn to read. I never disputed that other chromosome can cause it. Even the post that I replied to said that other chromosomes are involved and I never said anything about it. I was specifically talking about the X chromosome NOTHING ELSE.
I always love when people just respond with wrong, so they can flip flop and change arguments.
Anyway I'm done. |

Let me make this simple for you.
Your original quote:
He probably won't. Baldness is on the X chromosome and he can only get it from his mother as his dad gave him the Y.
You better hope his mother didn't pass on the baldness gene.
I bet this news makes you very happy. - KesselRules
To which I said "Wrong".
Then you obviously looked it up and came up with this...
I still cannot believe you said 2005. Like that matters. The evidence matters that's it. The scientific paper (which there's more of Clearly says that Chromosome 23 and 20 are highly linked to male pattern baldness and a newer one says 7 is linked as well). - KesselRules
YOUR OWN EXAMPLE proves your original statement wrong and, in fact, proves my statement that it is "autosomal and sex-influenced" to be absolutely right.
