I thought Hextall just gave them a piece of paper and said sign here and that was that - Streit2ThePoint
That was the Holmgren method, because that piece of paper usually was at least 3 of:
1) Above market value
2) Longer than needed
3) Has the term "NTC" on it
4) Had the term "NMC" on it. |

Penguins, like other teams are in trade mode today. If a deal is made likely takes then out of ufa market. Nothing imminent.

Just throwing a number out there. I guess 200-210ish would be more realistic after doing a quick looksie (Ovechkin at 230 lbs ) - Streit2ThePoint
Gagner's 5'11 too, which is a couple of inches under average.
Plus, the wings usually cover the point/high slot in the d-zone, so shouldn't we be looking @ avg size of defensemen?

He's the pens rinaldo. And bellemare beat him. For someone who lacks toughness as you say. That'd be tough. Earlier in the year games 1-10 bellemare played with more a physical edge than slowed down on the physicality. Maybe it was coaching maybe his body couldn't take it. Who knows. But as a 4th liner with upside I don't hate him.
Also as bill pointed out in his last post. Laughton lost confidence. I don't him with mediocre 4th liners. I'd rather him play all situations top line 100 point season in the ahl. I'm closer to Holland view on prospects I'd rather them to be over ready than under ready. Our city wants us good again so badly. I'd rather be patient and make sure these guys come in and have impacts. Laughton next year or as a call up I like a whole lot more. Keep gagner a year laughton can take over next. - Tfaehner
When I say I'm not sure his body holds up physically, this goes far beyond fighting. |

Bellamare has been signed for a while.
Vandevelde signed today. Vandevelde is less effective than White. White should have been a higher priority IMO.

This is blasphemy - Tfaehner
I'd rank the Flyers prospects as:
1. Provorov
2. Sanheim
3. Morin
4. Laughton
5. Ghostisbehere
6. Konecny
7. Aube-Kubel
8. Cousins
9. Hagg
10. Stolarz
And, BTW, this list is light years ahead in quality of where it was just 2 years ago!

Hickey is about to get a 3 year @ 2.16 cap hit. Does that seem comparable to something Del Zotto should be looking at. |

Also maybe White wants a one way deal and the Flyers want a two way deal. Could be multiple reasons they haven't signed him |

Not when the comment was that one of the reasons why Gagner isn't considered a good defensive forward, is because he lacks size. At 5'11" 200 lbs, size is not the problem there. |

Nope, nonsense. The Flyers tell players what they're getting paid, and then after the player signs, the Flyers put them back into their cage. |

I'm pretty sure they'd offer him a one way deal. Most likely its term and cash that are holding things up.

Points-per-game career/last-season
Hickey: 0.24/0.27
Del Zotto: 0.41/0.50
And MDZ's got almost twice the number of NHL GP's under his belt... don't think they're comparable beyond age. |
