Gagner bought out yes or no

I'm hoping yes, but I don't think it's a bad idea to keep him. Not much risk.

He may get dealt today, but it won't be to the Flyers.

The draft and recent deals have gone over well for most of us, if not all of us. I think the Grossmann/Pronger for Gagner is a good move, especially if we keep Gagner. However, I'm not so sure Hextall should be so quick to re-sign players such as Nick Schultz, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and 32 year old unproven NHL rookie Yevgeni Medvedev. I think Scott Laughton can hand a 4th line center role, while working his way up. Patrick Sharp wasn't hurt by this is his first couple of NHL season. We also have Samuel Morin who could also earn a spot on the but these premature signing make Morin's chances more difficult. With two more seasons left on Umberger's deal, I wouldn't allow pride to be the reason why Umberger isn't bought out if we cannot move him. It was a bad deal. I'm also hoping we can retain Ryan White.

Gagner should not play Center for this team

We also have Samuel Morin who could also earn a spot on the but these premature signing make Morin's chances more difficult. I think Bellemare was a good signing. He showed to be a solid, versatile forward who can kill penalties. He can play wing and center and has good speed. I like White too but I think Bellemare brings a little more that helps the team. I do hope White is resigned.

White and Vandevelde are role players. I do think that Vandevelde played for Hakstol did help in that he knows the system. Also I think he is a little better offensively and better skater.

I like White but I think his goal scoring was more an abnormality then the norm. Also Vandevelde and Bellemare showed some good chemistry and create good chances on the 4th line and PK.

I don't think any player that is due a bonue on 07/01 is being dealt before the bonus is paid. Just my feeling.

I like White and would like him back, but he's not anything special. He has some good qualities. Vandevelde's ability to play on the PK, gives him the edge over White in my opinion.

I don't like how Bellemare physically matches up and I worry about his health at times because of this. I think White could hold up just fine as a center or winger on the fourth line who also killed penalties at times before the season ended.

What's wrong with the Schultz signing?

He played very well and is signed at a low cost. He is also a great vet to have if you continue to purge players like Grossmann/Schenn/MacDonald. He can be a good partner to a rookie like Morin or Ghost or Provorov. Also his deal doesn't really take any value away if a team would like to trade for him to add a vet.
