Yep -- Sanheim would make me blink, but I'd do it

Wishful thinking. We are hoping he wants out as much as we want him out. While it is economically more feasible that he mutually terminates next year, I don't think his ego will allow him to be a healthy scratch for 82 games. Can you imagine sitting upstairs every game and someone gets hurt and they call up someone from Allentown to take the injured persons place.

I agree...I just think Vinny wants the chance to play and that isnt going to happen here. He has been a pretty class act all things considered, so we shall see. A mutual buyout would be ideal and both parties could move forward.

Guys think about it.

Mason was at the end of his career before he was traded here
MDZ was at the end of his career before he signed here
Gagner was at the end.....

Best offers for Dougie Hamilton: GO

(There are no wrong answers; just a slower day at work and I am just curious)

Well they obviously coveted Rinaldo, so I'd start there.

I don't think Simmons is a 3rd liner either. And I'm not sure about Couts as a 2nd line center, he hasn't shown enough yet offensively. There has been some speculation that Jeff Skinner could be had, I know he makes like close to 6m but I wouls love to see him on the 1st line at LW.

Wow... and for two years people have been mad at me for saying we should have taken him in the draft instead of Couturier.

That said... I'm not trading Laughton, Sanheim and Provorov for Dougie Hamilton. I think you're getting a bit excited about Hamilton.

that was pretty wild stuff

Line numbers are just that, numbers. Really need to look at icetime. As far as Couturier is concerned, it didn't happen last year, in part due to he didn't have a great year offensively himself, and Read and Umberger had poor season, but in previous seasons, Couturier put up solid 2nd line numbers offensively at ES. Where hs point totals fell short, was in PP production, which has been next to nothing.

So what? With the 3-on-3 this year he'll never get to show it

Yeah, we'll be toast before we can get there.

I think you want fast 200 foot players at the center position.

I hope he's put on the wing. We need a winger. If he could play left wing it'd be cool, but he is a righty.
