you thinking this based on the kind of picks being thrown back for marginal players?
- nails

Yeah, exactly. Just looking at the picks moving for players. Seems wacky to me.

Dougie Hamilton - a 1st and 2 2nds
Griffin Reinhart - a 1st and a 2nd

The goalie trades are even more confusing.

You would think, but last year they both played 57 games. Semin had 19 points, Vinny had 20.
- Feanor

I would still take Semin with G and Jake.
Not the most physical line, but Semin could pot 50 playing with those two

I think anything that Sweeny has done needs to be tossed out.

My impression is that some teams are stocking up on young players/picks.
I am wondering if expansion is coming sooner rather than later and teams are preparing to lose players via draft.
also, if you add 2 new teams, drafts aren't as deep.
that 22% stat of success of 3rd rounders goes down because 4 of the 3 rounders are now picked in the 1st two rounds.

Glad that they (it appears) are going to give Gagner a shot

One year isn't going to hurt anyone, especially with how weak FA is

Either he gets the job done, or he doesn't

Ha! We all do it, just saying that sometimes, on any given day, someone just isn't going to agree with someone else because we just don't wanna

now what would be great?
pushing the bottom draft age up to like 20.
then you can draft a guy and send him to the A instead of having to go back to juniors.

I don't think the PA would go for that.

I like the idea of the 2 draftees per NHL organization that are under 20 can play in the AHL idea.

Didn't Ghost use his down time to transform his body or something? He may have lost a year on the ice, but that didn't stop him from making leaps forward in other ways.
- Tomahawk

The last thing I read on him about that said he was up to 190.

I hadn't considered expansion. That's a good point.

I know Sweeny was losing his mind but it was Dougie Hamilton. Didn't he just have to sit there with his phone? It seemed like all he was worried about was bettering the offer sheet compensation.

I know the Kings hated traded Jones to Boston, they're very high on him. San Jose might have just got themselves a heck of a No. 1

And now he's on their rivals roster

And for the record, while I do think Don Maloney isn't a bad hockey manager overall, I do think Gagner is a center

now what is the return on Jones?

And would teams leave their players in the minors longer to protect them from the expansion draft?

Me neither, but I wish it would happen.
works for the NFL.

And the 2 draftee thing is well and good, but don't they have agreement with those junior governing bodies? they aren't going to be happy about that.
