I actually wouldn't mind him either as a call up.
Already familiar with coaches systems.

What about arcobello? Played for 4 teams but still managed 17 goals 14 assists in 77 games. Third line wing option. Under sized but has speed. Not qualified by coyotes.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the Rinaldo trade. What does Boston see that everyone in the hockey world doesn't see? Don't they have someone in their prospect pool that can dish out hits?

So far so good. If Viny terminates, MDZ resigns for two years, resign White and sign a backup goalie I will be over the moon with this offseason. No need to chase a UFA this summer and be handcuffed capwise down the road. Stay patient Hexy you're doing an amazing job thus far (other then the Hartnell trade).
- coffee junkie

That would be a great job by Hexy. If he wanted to really impress me (which I know is in the forefront of his mind) he would unload one more bad / underperforming contract: MacDonald, L. Schenn, or Umberger. But that's asking a lot.

Think he wants to prove hartnell trade was a good move. Umberger here to stay at least one more year. I wouldn't sell Amac low if he has a bounce back year to be the 4th d man he was signed to be than he may have some value. 2nd pairing guys get about 4-5 million these days so if we ate even 1 million and he bounces back I think we could move him pretty easily next year.

Well, how many 3-4 D men can one team have? On another note: I guess we find out by noon on Gagner?

I don't get it either. I'm so glad I'm not a Bruins fan right now. I can't believe they passed on Connor AND Barzal and reached for a couple guys who were probably going to be there with the 37th, 45th, and/or 52nd pick THAT THEY HAD JUST ACQUIRED.

This is one of those cases where I'm going to follow the career arcs of the three guys Boston DID select as well as those of Barzal and Connor. Maybe Sweeney is a genius and no one recognizes it. More likely IMO, there will be a fair amount of pointing and laughing down the road.

And then there's the Rinaldo trade... yes, its a 2017 3rd rounder, but you know what? It still has value.

Out of that list of goalies, I'd like the Flyers to go after Enroth

It will be interesting to see how their careers pan out vs Barzal and Connor. I don't think Boston has been historically great with their draft picks.

I was watching the draft thinking, hey maybe the Bruins are actually crazy smart. They're going to get Zboril, Barzal and Connor. Turns out they were just crazy.

Right now it's all we have our prospects are our 1-2 and until they get here its a mediocre team which is why unless we have a true need for the cap space right now like a player about to.come in hexy can be patient and get the best deal.

No. I don't see what he can bring to the table that the Flyers don't already have

Re Free agency:

If they are keeping Gagner, all I'd do in FA is re-sign MDZ and White and a new back up goalie.

I have no friggin' clue what my team is doing. . . .

We already have a pest who gets reputation calls from the department of player safety. And for a THIRD round pick. . . oy.

I was kind of hoping for Bryzgalov.

No, I wasnt. The entertainment value would be immense, though.

I am for keeping Gagner.

Curious the see how / if the VLC saga turns out Thursday, if at all

Flyers already have 9 picks in next year's draft. And, at this rate the Boston 3rd rounder in 2017 could be in the 60 - 70 range.

Hopefully, G can keep things under control tomorrow..... Happy Canada Day!
