I dont see why Morin would have a better chance over Hagg or Ghost coming out of juniors? Hextall is quoted as saying he's not discounting Ghost making the team out of camp. Didn't make such a direct comment about anyone else when asked. - mochoson
Gostisbehere is coming off a serious injury where he missed most of last season. How realistic is it for him to make the jump? With the makeup of the Flyers defense, the most likely opening would be on the 3rd pair, which would be a fit for the kind of player that Morin is. I personally don't see any of them making it, which is fine. Over develop and bring them up when they're sure they are ready. |

I would be real happy with a 2 year deal.
What I REALLY want is the cap space in two years. the only D man they are on the hook for in two years is Amac. If would be nice to be able to choose whether to keep DZ at that point or see if the kids are ready.
RJ, PEB, VdV, are all done as well. - nails
I would have traded him at the draft for a mid second right after I picked Provorov at 7. |

He'll never be ready until he shows that he's ready so don't put a date on it because he isn't ready.

The Flyers have some money to play with. Keep in mind that I believe there is another buyout period later in the Summer. |

Philadelphia keeps Sam Gagner. His skill set should be better used in the Flyers system.

I feel like Vinny is gone - Winning
Vinny probably is gone. I could see him going to Arizona, what with the necessity of their reaching the salary floor, am totally unsure though what the final terms of such a deal would look like.
Kessel is not coming here.

2 years, 3.5m AAV would be OK by me. Then when his contract finishes it will also be the end of Ghost's ELC and we can just keep whichever offensive dman is better. - Feanor

Unless Vinny is interested in being Derek Settlemyre's assistant, or head of concessions in the Cote suite, then, I think the two sides will come to a mutual understanding on Thursday. |

It appears Gagner and Vinny will stay with Flyers. They weren't bought out. Flyers still could move both in deals.

Trade MDZ to Boston for Pastrnak. Hextall just has to convince Sweeney that MDZ could replace Dougie which looking at Sweeney's mental capacity shouldnt be that hard. Might even get him to throw in a draft pick.

Which is it? A couple of 2-3? I'm okay with 2. - jmatchett383
2-3 years.. Either I am okay with.
Defense is one position you want to have security and actual depth.
3/7 of our defense going into next season are going to be free agents at the end of the year. If we sign MDZ to a 1 year deal, that makes it 4/7. Thats not a very ideal situation. The year after that Streit and Schultz are both free agents. So as of now, a 2 year deal would be ideal. 3 years really wouldnt be the end of the world seeing how we only have 1 guy currently on the team and signed through there, and that guy is Andrew MacDonald. |

I kind of see that happening too. Provorov will be interesting as almost everyone says he is NHL ready. Still think another dman is moved once teams miss on FA targets.
But Hextall could surprise us all. We have already seen he isn't cut from the same cloth as previous Flyer GMs |

Yup, I dont want any of them on the team after camp. Let Ghost rehab and build back confidence. All three of them need the experience. |

Altough I would rather keep DZ and not Schenn.
I still think Schenn is the most moveable piece out of him, Vinny, and RJ. |
