Other than bringing in 1 defenseman, I kind of want to see Murray just stand pat for the rest of the offseason. I think at this point so many things have been done and moved around that we need to see where we stand. Hard to know what other moves to make when you don't know how what you have right now is going to work.

See I am in the opposite mind frame. So much has changed this offseason so before players get comfortable together and then you make changes make all the major changes this offseason so they can develop chemistry sooner.

That could happen even without signing Richards. Paul Hamilton already said this morning that currently if Reinhart is in the lineup, Larsson is in the press box. So if you ship Reinhart to Rochester, Larsson takes his place.

I would like to trade Larsson with another prospect for some d if we dont go the FA route.

Something like Larsson for maybe someone on Nashville for example...

I guess I just don't think a whole lot more needs to be changed. Yes, at some point there will probably be a move or two made to put us over the top, but I think they need to just let this young group they've assembled gel.

Tim Murray is absolutely cutthroat and I love it.

I still would like a true top line RWer...

That would be my big move still.

I agree, but at the same time we already have 7 guys that can play in the top 6. The problem is that RW isn't the natural position for any of them....

5 years is when I think his contract starts effecting signings and contracts...

Risto and Girgensons contracts expire at the end of this year.

If Murray keeps it at $7 million of lower cap hit I think he will be fine

- Stripes77

Im thinking 6-7 mil for 5-6 years so not terrible

Trade Moulson... I'd be happy.

Hey I get that you guys are excited about Eichel, but I've seen enough about him being "the best player in the draft". He's great, he is going to be even greater. But no one knows who will end up with a better career. McDavid is just as exciting as Eichel. Not trolling, just saying that it's getting to be a little much.

Which is my big hang up right now.

I would like at least 1!

Edit: How great is it to have these types of conversations about making this team a real contender in the next 2 years after the last 2 seasons we have had!!!

Well, Ennis counts there. But that's it. He can slot in either as C or RW. The rest that go between center and wing all seem to be C/LW.

Hamilton said to expect to see both of them used there at different times during camp/preseason to see what works best.

I want Reinhart up the middle

Gus is fine on the wing but Reinhart as a playmaking center, with not the greatest speed, is not someone I want on the wing.

I really want the Sabres to sign Mike Richards for 3rd line duties and ease Reinhart in the AHL (hides)

I don't think I've seen 1 person on this board say that Eichel was the best player in the draft. We all know that McDavid is. But it's very close.

I think Eichel is a better fit for Buffalo's team than McDavid. Eichel is more powerful whereas McDavid is more skilled.

It's pronounced Rinehardt. And no. I don't.

I'd be happy as hell with either. I really don't know if I'm being a homer at this point, but I prefer Jack's game over McJesus'.

@draglikepull @ThomasDrance @b1rky Players can still go on unconditional waivers tomorrow for buyout. That waiver period lasts five hours.

So conflicting reports about the buyout waiver process...
