While the Blackhawks clearly seem to be playing hardball, and looking to see who blinks first, I have to imagine they match any offer in the $5 million range if push came to shove.

Meh, still says nothing. I love how he's "under investigation" and they dump his contract, yet Voynov is on trial for domestic abuse and they keep him.

Totally agree with Gunner, and if any GM would have the stones to do it just to drop the hammer on the Hawks cap situation, it would be TM.

I think John Moore would be an ideal D signing. He would be cheap, he is an LHD, he is good, he has legitimate upside, and he fits the age range Murray is going for as Moore is 24.

Perfect bottom pairing guy while they try to also get a top 4 LHD to complete the team D.

These buyouts are crazy. Being a marginal hockey player has surpassed backup QB as best paying job for doing next to nothing.

They need to be careful because Keith's contract is up after next season and they already have 38% of their cap taken up by 3 players and one of them is a goalie

I feel confident in saying if the cap does not go up much for the 2016-2017 season, Crawford will be on the move.
