The NBA gets at least 5 times the amount of coverage than the NHL...that's pretty self explanatory

Pretty sure he knows what he is talking about there.

- Stripes77

I'm pretty sure he doesn't I'm pretty sure I can disrespect one of his sports he likes to but i'm going to just drop it and move on

Kessel has $4-million bonus payable tomorrow (July 1), which I presume is why some teams are waiting to make best trade offer after that...

Just because he called it a garbage sport?

Relax junior

His point about the amount of coverage it gets is 100% accurate.

Just because you didn't like his comment about it being a garbage sport doesn't mean he is wrong with the amount of coverage it gets. You're looking silly...

If Reinhart only scores 49 pts, they should consider a buyout.
- Der Kaiser

They should consider a BO now before he even comes onto NHL ice. He's not worth the hockey equipment he wears, IMO

Terminating Richards’ contract comes with more overall cap relief than a buyout, but as previously reported, it appears that it doesn’t completely rid Richards from their books. It’s believed that the Kings will be charged with a cap recapture penalty of $1.32 million annually for the next five seasons.

Martin Jones wants to be or have a chance to be a number 1. He acquired him, most likely, as simply as an asset to flip.

Meh, still says nothing. I love how he's "under investigation" and they dump his contract, yet Voynov is on trial for domestic abuse and they keep him.

Basketball is fine...its the media coverage i can't stand....the NBA has become a stage for primadonnas to get on TV for acting like an idiot/saying ridiculous things...and espn (which is quickly becoming like foxnews and msnbc) eats all that crap right up

....ya kn wat really pissed me off...

the night of the NHL draft..with two generational players about to be drafted...the front page on espn.com had a story about the NBA draft the night before...a draft that most ppl who know the NBA admit was a weak draft

And about 5x as many people watch it. I don't understand why people female dog about ESPN not giving hockey so much coverage. It's because they don't have the TV rights. The amount of coverage ESPN gives the NHL is about on par with the amount NBCSN gives the NBA. They'll mention it on a sports show here and there, but that's about it. It's what happens when you don't own the TV rights.

And like it or not, the NBA has LeBron James, who is the biggest personality in American Sports right now, and it's not even close.

Regardless, it gets the coverage is does because far more people watch it. The NHL, while growing, still is concentrated in certain pockets of the country. The NBA has steady viewership all over.
