Better then McNabb?

- homiedclown

I liked him as well. I always thought the two of them complimented each other well. McNabb is more physical and has more offense to his game. Pysyk has the better skating and outlet pass.

That's why I'm not too worried.

I wanted Lack. Murray knows Lehner better than any of us so let's see how it works out. With Irbe working with him it could be a positive.

I think Irbe will do some good things with Lehner.

Any chance the League will let Lehner wear a Gazoo helmet like Tasker did at the end of his career?

I hope he's healthy.

They never did find anything wrong. It's concerning, but could have been attributed to exhaustion. It happened after he'd played a lot of games in a short time for both clubs.

Maybe Lehner will wear Irbe's old Jofa mask.

I'd dig this, and he'd paint Gazoo on the helmet as well. Very meta.

I hope he's 100%. I like Pysyk's game as well and fully expect him in Buffalo. McCabe might need another year in Rochester for his development.

Fantastic look at ROR's statistical value.

Hip surgery is scary. What if he doesn't get back to 100%? That should have been his bargaining chip.

Has anybody heard of any rumors regarding Murray talking to UFA's yet?

It's really weird to read about good players, and then realize they play for us

as a Sens fan believe me when I tell you many of us are upset that lehner was delt.
I have watched him play for a long time and he will be a star and this will bite us in the ass one day...

I think McCabe would be fine in Buffalo, but would benefit more from being the top guy in Rochester again.

Thanks, I like hearing this from a Sens fan. Very steep price was paid for him.

That is very interesting. I always liked him even though I don't recall him putting together too many stretches of stellar play. While we gave up a ton to get him he easily has the highest ceilings of any of the guys that were in play. I just have this feeling in my gut that it is going to work out.

If they add a D man

and come together as a team

I expect all the suffering we endured for years will be quickly forgotten

One thing people seem to forget is, David Legwand put up 50 points in both years prior to 2014/15. I don't think anyone is hinging on him being a 50 point player, but it isn't that far fetched to think he could have a bounce back year and improve from last years 27 points.

the price IMO was steep because he was dealt within the division

40 points if on third line with second team pp is a realistic expectation IMO

slides into Weber's slot on the 5/6 pair in 2016

that is my expectation

It's too early to speculate roster spots, but he could end up being a decent 3rd line center and put up 30-40 points

I think this is where this is where getting ROR is so important. I remember the night that the Bruins hit rock bottom as a franchise (I think it was '06). We hung something like 8 or 9 goals on them. It wasn't the first or second line that was doing it to them, it was the third line of young Roy and Vanek that was decimating them. Drury and Briere handled the big boy duties and the kids got to grow. ROR will allow our 2nd liners to be 2nd liners (Moulson) and guys like Reinhart to play against lesser players. I'm curious to see how Gus grows now that he isn't on the top line.
