I feel like Sekera is a kind of player that wont break down with age. I think he'll still be giving quality minutes at 36. Same with Oduya. Oduya is target #2, although I'd go shorter term.

I not only agree, i sure hope so. No time wasted get this guy locked up almost no matter the cost because if he walks heads will need to roll.

I do agree with the fact that GMTM did overpay for lehner. But if you read the interview with Bryan Murray on NHL.com, He was happy he got our first rounder but not happy that he now has to play against lehner for the next years to come. He was not happy at all about dealing him within the division. So he knows that lehner is a really good goalie and that is why he wanted the first. I do think that it could turn out good for us.

This deal should define murrays time here moreso than the kane trade and picking eichel.

I was happy to find out mcginn came back in the trade as well. If o'reilly signs and is a top player for us for the next 8 years i dont care about anything we sent them. Eichel will attract the remaining pieces.

I agree completely - he was completely undervalued here. However, he did show in the international tournaments that he had another level that we rarely saw here. Five for 25 would be nice but I think he gets more than that elsewhere.
