I'm guessing Sweeney didn't want him staying in the conference along with lucic. Question. Why up until yesterday pretty much this entire thread was against trading Zadarov to the Avs for ror saying that would be a complete overpayment(and you gave up a lot more than just him)and after the trade this entire thread is rejoicing?

some hold onto our prospects as tight as an anaconda holds it's prey before it engulfs it

Well, how else do you think he spends so much time at home playing Halo offline? It was pretty funny when I heard him say it though.

Do we pick at 51 or is a defenseman coming our way?
- beargk

I think we make the pick - he has to throw the scouts a bone. Some dmen that will/could go from 31 to our pick at 51:

Roy, Kylington, siegenthaler, Carlo, dermott, cernak, brisebois, dunn, Spencer, capobianco, Witherspoon, guhle, vande sompel

What would you give up for Nash?
- Cptmjl

foligno, mccabe, one of our goalie prospects, pick 51 and 2016 first rd pick

right now I would go all in

add nash

nash-eichel-ror
kane-reinhart-ennis
moulson-girgens-gionta

yeah I went there

- homiedclown

Why not man, at this point I'm all for going for it.

I think TM targets a defenseman in FA, but adding another legit forward would be amazing.

McGinn makes it easier to swallow.

I didn't want to give up Zadarov for his skill and potential on the ice. But the more I think/hear about the issues off the ice and in the locker room I am not too upset by it. ROR is a workout warrior and I like that.

Grigorenko was pretty much out the door (see Brenden Lemieux)

Pick 31? Oh well

1. What are the chances we could somehow pull Nash and Yandle, I'd be the happiest man on earth. Give up next 2 years first 2 rounds of picks and some prospects... Shiyeet next 3 years if that's what it takes.

2. On the Hamilton front, we can still offer sheet him, correct?

I wonder if internal discussions around Paul Martin have increased since Bylsma came on board. Not saying I love the guy (Martin) but given the level of familiarity he might be higher on their radar now.

I hear you but that's the norm for a rebuilding teams fans and with good reason. It was obvious that Zadarov fell out of favor with Murray but the reason I asked is Bcs I'd say the vast majority of this thread was vehemently against the idea. In fact quite a few of the every day regulars on here were on garths thread calling him an idiot Bcs murray would never give up Zadarov for ror. The funny thing is he gave up even more and Every single one of their opinions changed right after the trade(besides sbroads). Weird.

Sabres are already better than the leafs
- MTL1

I know you are simply trying to slag the leafs but seriously, how big of a leap was that to be better than the leafs? We are rebuilding from the draft, not trading for established players so yeah of course you are better.

Again... He didn't really give up too much more. Also, we brought back another piece...
