They gave up a Russian with a bad work ethic and one who feels entitled to a roster spot. A draft pick who will be a couple years away and an unproven college kid. We got back two NHL players.

Provorov is the best defenseman available not Hanifin. Only reason Provorov has slid down is because he's Russian and there is always the threat of the KHL with them.

Here are some speculative rumours coming out of the broadcast booth:
Grigorenko and Zadarov for O-rielly and Colorado's 1st this year....Buffalo may be giving up a low pick or another player like Legwand as well

Bruins not just going after #3...the target is Edmonton:
3 fist picks and next years first along with Tuuka Rask and zdeno Chara to get Eichel this year out from under Buffalo's grasp.......that would leave Buffalo with the consolation prize.

I think Reinhart spends a portion of the season in Rochester...we now have an abundance of centers unless trader Tim dumps one or two in acquiring some blue line help which is needed.

The book on the Vanek deal closes after Buffalo uses pick 51 in todays 2nd round but I can agree to the lets be friends lol BOL to the Islanders!

In acquiring ROR and McGinn it eases the overpayment in the Lehner deal because if 21 was still in play it would surely have gone to Colorado in that deal. Hopefully Irbe is retained and he brings Lehner to his full potential. He did wonders with Lindberg and Neuvirth.
