if no one else was offering that high a pick i think it was worth it. bigger question remains why they traded lucic AND hamilton; you'd think the point of trading lucic was to afford hamilton

if no one else was offering that high a pick i think it was worth it. bigger question remains why they traded lucic AND hamilton; you'd think the point of trading lucic was to afford hamilton

Going back last 10 drafts how many of the D in top 10 becom enough to warrant dougie and lucic , etc. doughty oel and hedman ... That it?

basically yeah, which is why the general rule is to prefer forwards in the top 5

Intgiught I thought according to you Edmonton and the Bruins were talking "hard" about Lucic.

Lucic also cost LA an extra 1st rounder, Custance saying they won't be able to sign Sekeras anymore who will walk after they gave a 1st for him to still not make the playoffs.

well they were giving up 1st regardless but LA's d is now...interesting considering Sekera was supposed to replace Voynov
