I run two dynasty leagues for hockey, one is in its 5th year, the other is a friends and family going into its first offseason. I tried last year to put one together with HockeyBuzzers, but didn't get enough interest.

If anyone is interested in doing one, please PM me, looking for 10, maybe 12 teams.

I suspect there will be a lot of movement of personnel until they figure out what works best.

Kane and Eichel are just too similar imo, I think Reinhart could be set up Kane nicely. First line of Mouslon Eichel and O'Reilly. Line two could be Kane Reinhart and Ennis, and down the road Foligno Girgensons and Larsson for the 3rd (maybe Larsson or Foligno is flipped for a dman).

Haven't commented during the draft because I was streaming it on my computer and didn't want to have too many windows up. But after reading over the comments seems like majority of people on here are pumped. I for one am too. All we need now is a defenseman Odyua is an option but my money goes to Paul Martin with the Bylsma connection.

I'm very curious to see the lineup for the team. I want to know what the plan is for O'Riley and Reinhart. I think I heard Bylsma saying O'Riley is a number 1 center so it looks like he'll play there at least to start.

Kane O'Riley Ennis
Moulon Eichel
That's all set in stone most likely. Then you have Girgensons. Does he play 3rd line center or RW on 2nd line. You also have Reinhart where does he fit in in all this if he shows he's ready to play.
Then guys like McGuinn, Gionta, Foligino, Desluaries, Larsson, Legwand, McCormick and possibly Hodgson. Sort of confused on how they are going to fit everyone in. Which is a good problem to have.

A few years ago, we couldn't even find a captain for this team.

Now, we have about 7 of them.

Avs fans are saying McGinn is a perfect 3rd line guy and can slot up to 2nd in times of need. I'm not sure which side he plays, but if Girgensons is line 2 wing, maybe 3rd line is McGinn-Reinhart-Gionta?

We really do. Bogo, Girgs, ROR, Gionta, Kane, Eichel, Risto could all be future captains.

Interesting. I wouldn't mind that. I'd prefer Reinhart to play with a scoring winger and Gionta isn't really that guy anymore but maybe it will be good for him to start. I have to look more into McGinn

Avs fans seemed more upset to lose McGinn than ROR from what I've read (red).

Swap Bogosian for Gorges, IMO. Plus wasn't McCabe C in some Worlds tourney in the past?

He was one of my favorite prospects but was on the smaller side and didn't have as productive a season this year. Very happy with the trades today. Wishing I didn't have to drop down from 4 tickets to 2 last year. :/. Would of been easy to sell them this year

Yeah, I hear ya, it's not a scoring-threat 3rd line, but not one I would mind for year 1 of Reinhart

Here's the answer on Girgensons and Reinhart and O'Riley I guess

GMTM said didn't want Eichel-Reinhart as 1-2 at center. ROR takes a lot of that pressure off, esp. w/better matchups at home. #Sabres

Maybe then the lines look like this

Kane O'Riley Ennis
Moulson Eichel Reinhart
Mcguinn Girgensons Gionta
Desluaries Legwand Folgino
Hodgson? McCormick?

I think to start Reinhart will be on line 3, and Girgensons line 2 RW

One thing I've learned today is you're not allowed to have an opinion on the Sabres if that opinion is anything less than aggreeance that Muray nailed it.

The thing I like least about today is acquiring Legwand. Do we really need more marginal players jamming up our roster and taking ice time?

I liked Larsson's play, I think he can crack the 4th line if he can carry it over into next year

The thing I like about this least is Ennis at wing. We've been playing players out of position for too long. All the cup competing teams have guys setup to succeed at rightful positions.

Non team player. Throw in that we can manage.
