All that momentum I had going into this season, all that excitement and hope, it just took a big hit. There is no way I can spin this trade to make myself feel better about it. I would have rather taken a goalie in the draft at 21.

So we traded the 21st pick in one of the deepest drafts of the last 20 years for a goalie that was drafted in the 2nd round 6 years ago and a 34-year-old bottom-6 player.

A 1st round pick for a goalie with concussion problems and a throw away with a contract we don't need. Bad move on Murray's part.

To me, Lehner is worth a late 2nd rounder, or an early 3rd rounder.

Lehner was the guy I wanted because he is 23 and I thought he would cost us the least out of all the available goalies. I never would of did a 1st

And people were complaning if we moved the 21st in a ROR deal.
