The notion of snagging an unheard of goalie is intriguing.. but I think Gibson is widely known to be unavailable, especially at a reasonable price. Bernier=Buzz's Girlfriend

Blues have no reason to part with Elliott and certainly won't. Anderson. Meh. Stop gap guy who can play at the same level as Niemi.

The only way he could get traded and still get 8 years now would be to get traded after July 1st, have Colorado sign him to an extension, and then trade him.

Not sure Colorado would want to wait until after the draft. I get the feeling they just want this whole thing done and over with ASAP.

I don't see them as all that similar, but even if you do, Murray wants a whole team of Girgensons type players. Everyone thinks if you don't score 80 points a season you're not worth a big contract. There's way more than scoring that goes into making a hockey player worth it.
