The feeling seems to be that after around the low teens the draft becomes really hit and miss. They may find someone who is ranked 24 or 25 on their list at 31. Or you can move 31+51 to get back into the first round.

It hasn't generally been an issue. I wasn't worried about getting one because I knew there were options available.

I've already said I don't love this trade. But I can't change it, and any player we would have drafted at 21 would be at least 3 or 4 years away.

The fact of the matter is, we needed a goalie. Murray got one. Period.

Guy is only 1 year removed from a 51 point season. Not knowing who he played with last year, I wouldn't think it means he's completely done.

Lehner was exactly the type of guy that Murray mentioned he wanted at the Trade Deadline.

I don't know why people are acting so shocked over this.

Everything pointed to them going after a guy who was about to breakout into an NHL starter. Lack, Talbot, Lehner, any of those guys all fall into that category and according to all reports, Murray was in on all of them.
