doesn't take a genius to see this was a bad trade. When in years past has a unproven goalie been traded for a 1st rounder? Heck Bishop was traded for Conacher!

Not a fan of Markstrom at all. Lehner has at least had some success at the NHL level.

To me it's not that he traded for Lehner, its what he gave up for him.

That pick could be used as trade bait to get a top 6 forward.

Unless something else happens here there will be a dark cloud hanging over until Murray selects Eichel and in his first interview Eichel says he is turning pro.

Eh I don't know. I like the trade. We needed a goalie no question. Still would have liked the pick in a trade for O'Reilly, but another need has been covered.

schneider was a lock for being a starting goaltender with elite potential. He wasn't injury prone and this is considered to be the deepest since the getzlaf draft. I cant get past the trading a 1st rounder for a goalie part. We needed top 6 forward help. I cant see us getting that now without trading some already key parts.
