Tell me, in your opinion, how it is a good trade. If Lehner can come in and win 40 games I'll eat crow and admit I was wrong but I see no part of his track record that says that's going to happen. Unless Murray has a crystal ball and has already seen it happen I think he got fleeced because he had to deal with the people he knows.

And as for Legwand, I don't even know where to start

This trade signifies the price of goalies and a lot more fans are going to get "betrayed" today...

But yeah... the salary dump, ouch. Definitely Ottawa win.

You have to admit, this is an odd trade. Trade the 21 pick for a guy with health issues and Legwand, very odd from where I am sitting.

I said a million times id not give more than a 3rd(which we don't have) but id be fine with 51 for Lehner or most goalies on the block

I'm going to defend him, because someone has to.

He's still very young, won a calder and has some great potential. 99% of all goalies don't reach their potential until their mid 20's. He's shown to be excellent. Him and Anderson have had proportional seasons, so it could be attributed to the team in front as well. Concussions aside, he really is a pretty good young goalie.
