overall aside from the center depth or top talent depth ...
the teams overall depth is the concern ..we need the Haggertys & kristo types to be ready to step in & produce ... DEPTH .is our achilles ,its what cost us the finals this yr.ran out of healthy optuions that were better than what we had to put out - Dundee13
Haggerty will still play at least 1 year more in Hartford before we know if he could be an NHLer. Kristo will walk this summer, probably sign with Philly. But we do have depth for bottom 6 at least. Lindberg, R.Bourque, Hrivik will push for spots for sure.

I wonder if there is more of a chance the Oilers trading the 16th overall pick and a player like Eberle to Arizona for the 3rd overall pick so the Oilers can keep McDavid and Strome together - jimbro83
That's some plausible poop right there |

Coyotes GM Don Maloney said one team offered him a pair of mid-first round picks and a player Wednesday evening for the No. 3 pick.

Center is major weak link for Arizona. They traded their best one away in Vermette. They are left with Hanzal, Gagner and Arcobello. I find it very hard to believe that they trade that pick for another winger. |

They have so many options. Personally If I was PC, I would take McDavid, and do something with the other picks and maybe a prospect and fill the holes that are obvious. Like a good goalie and good defenseman. They already have enough firepower on the front end. |

they have so many prospects, they need some legit NHL players to play with all these kids, like Domi and Duclair. Maybe not Eberle, but they should try to acquire a really good NHL forward signed long term with that 3rd overall pick |

I think they are going to offer sheet Hamilton. PC is going to put the Bruins in a real bind. Savard counts against the cap in the summer. |

The only thing that could stop that is Hamilton not wanting to play in Edmonton |

Ya think? It would be (frank)ing hilarious if he did. I just wonder if he would have the balls to do it. |

Yeah the Edmonton thing is kinda awful. But nothing 6 million per year(4.5 after taxes) can't fix. |

The fact that they are turning down multiple 2nd round offers and 2nd round picks and pretty good prospects is exciting - TPC
Exciting and scary. Sometimes you should take the high bid when the commodity is hot and the market is frenzied about it. Sather may keep playing this game and things start to cool off a bit, hope the other GM's don't start to think Talbot isn't worth it and move in different directions. Then the original high offers could come off the table. |
