I'm shocked that some of you guys want to trade Reinhart. You'd think the people that are willing to trade him would be at least a little curious to see what the kid to do in the NHL. Crazy talk.

I agree. Crack kills.

How is Sharp more important at all?? Hossa has Sharp in pretty much every important stat in the regular season and in the playoffs. Hossa is a sure fire HOF'er. Sharp is not.
- Homer

I agree
Although, with his age & their Cap situation, the Hawks should think about trading him at some point as well in the next year or 2

I sure don't
I love what our centers are gonna look like in a couple years
Eichel

If u can't find a group of ppl to hang with,
I'd go to 716
Should be pretty crazy there

- jdfitz77

Well I'm between 716 and Amherst Ale House right now. Unless anyone has any better suggestions?

I liked the Babcock joke, that was good
And the Tavares interview was kinda funny
But ya, overall I'm not a big fan & many of the jokes tonight have bombed

They really couldn't get a better host?

- jdfitz77

This really needs to be a closed doors non-TV event. These players are so uptight and it seems like they only function as themselves in private. Plus most of these good players recently lost in the playoffs and watched someone else win the cup.

Ya, Ale house should be good too
I've gotta work, and we don't have the TVs set up yet (ugh)
So I'll be getting all the info later on when I can check my phone
Should be an interesting day all around
Go Sabres!

Eichel

I will either return to Boston University next season, or spend all 82 regular-season games at the pro level.
The 18-year-old, who is expected to selected second overall by the Buffalo Sabres in Friday night's NHL Draft, told the Boston Globe he has no plans to sign a contract unless he's promised an NHL spot for the full season.

If I’m signing, it’s not to leave school and go play major junior,” Eichel said Wednesday. “If I sign, it’s to play in the NHL the whole year. That’s the only way I’ll sign. And Buffalo has already explained to me that that would be the case.”

Not that Price wasn't impressive...
But with scoring at an all time low,
What Ovechkin did was much more impressive than what Price did
And OV became the 6th guy all-time to have SIX 50goal seasons
Considering there's no one else from this era of lesser scoring,
That's one hell of an accomplishment
He's absolutely one of the best scorers of all-time

He joined Gretzky, Lemieux, Bossy, Dionne & La Fleur
That's some impressive company
He should've definitely won MVP this year
Esp with how his all-around game improved

There have been some people that have been afraid he would take the Lindros route.

I would agree.
Caps are not close to a playoff team without him

Probably still make the playoffs, or just miss

I guess it depends on your definition of "most valuable"
If u wanna go by how good the team would be without the player, then Dubnyk wins by a landslide

My point was that OV's scoring accomplishments are more impressive than Price's #s bc of how the NHL is at an all-time scoring low
With the lack of scoring,
It's amazing that Ovechkin has been able to put up stats that put him in the conversation with scoring greats like Gretzky, Lemieux, Bossy, etc

Yes he is, Rinehart, will out perform Strome at both ends of the rink, as well as, out score him every season they play in the NHL.
