Why on Earth should Gorges be gone?? He is that leadership type veteran minute eater guy that we have all yearned for for years here since we tried with Rivet. We just traded a 2nd rounder for him and he went down with a knee injury half way into the year.

This reminds me of the people who want to trade all of our centers now that we finally have them after 10 years.

I don't get it... We don't need to take minutes away from guys like Risto and Zads and burn money on average guys to come in here like Sekera or Oduya. It doesn't make sense. These guys are good that we have here now.

Risto lead all D-men with TOI this season. He also lead the corps with points.

Who was #2 in points... Zadorov but in 18 less games than Risto with 5 less points. Zadorov was also only -10 which was the least for our corps of Risto, Mesz, Myers, Benoit, Gorges, and Strachon. He also played in more games than all defensemen not named Risto and Weber.

But you guys are probably right... we should sign 3 new defensemen because they guys are completely out of their league here.

I've actually said the opposite about bringing in guys. While I think they could maybe use 1 more vet guy, they don't NEED one. I hate the idea of bringing in a guy that's going to take away time from one of the kids. Only way they're gonna learn is to be out there.
