Well, either MSM has Murray's hands in all the goalie trades because of what Murray said publicly, or they're actually onto something and Murray was being his usual honest, blunt self.

I'd like to believe the latter. Ward and Dreger are garbage when you're looking at elite level rumor men, but they don't post poop unless it's real. So. We'll see who we grab! I'm not sure how excited I should be in trading for what was always considered a backup goalie.

I don't think that lack was considered a back up goalie full time. Talbot yes.

I just don't like Talbot. he is already 27 I believe. Had a few good showings in a short window with that NYR defense in front of him. I don't think he equates to a long term solution in Buffalo. Talbot would be a short term solution until another goalie is ready to play big minutes.

Lack is a guy who has played 82 games over the past 2 years and plays in a system in Vancouver that is known to leave their goalies out to dry and fend for themselves. Sure they have some good D-men there over the years but no one that is winning a Norris. Lack is younger, more likely a long term solution that could be a long term guy.

If we go the short term route, I'd much rather bring back Lindback or Neuvirth. Niemi would be another good choice too.

My big question for GMTM is are your trying to acquire your goalie of the future or the goalie to get to fill in the blank prospect we have as the goalie of the future.
If hes looking for a 5+ year starter id like lack as hes carried more of a load of games. IF its a stop gap for 3 years I like the Neimi route. He would win enough games to get us relavent

I've never seen so many armchair scouts and gm's show up on here in the last day talking about it. For as many questions as there is about Sam why is there so much certainty for ROR? The guy might not ever crack 50 pts again who knows. Nobody knows!

I think they would give away Reimer considering his numbers have been bad lately. I would rather get another goalie but Reimer would be good for the rebuild
