I just dont want Nieto to go. Hes got potential. Bluerags seem high on Yandle so im not sure it goes down. Hes got a nice contract after Yotes retained.

Toronto seems focused on re-signing Bernier and working the phones for other players like Kessel, Phaneuf, Bozak and Lupul. I have my doubts Bernier is going anywhere anytime soon. Most likely they'll get either an amicable deal before arbitration, or a market value one from arbitration, then let the goalie market settle out. That will allow Bernier to showcase himself again if they're going to deal him.

Guess my dreams of landing Bernier are a wash.

If I was DW, I'd try and work a deal out with Garth for Okposo. He would be a solid addition to our core/top-6. I'm just not sure what the cost would be. I also get the feeling that Talbot is DW's target in net. I'm just hoping that he goes big and gets Yandle as well.

I would do both these deals from a Sharks prospective. I am not sure I would do either deal from the other teams prospective.

Nieto is a nice upgraded Torrey Mitchell and Dillon is okay, not nearly in Yandle's class.

As for the second deal, I think it would require more. Wingels isn't worth much and Okposo is an all star type player.

Cut his icetime to 20 minutes a night and match him up against reasonable competition and he is not as bad.

However, his body has been steadily going downhill and he has several years left on that cap hit. That contract looks scary if he continues to trend down. Would not take without retention to at least 5 million.
