Neither is a good option. The only reason it has worked out for the hawks is because they've got guys like Keith on ridiculously good value deals that don't exist in the league anymore. That cap space should be dedicated to things like finding another top pairing d-man or 1st line RW.

Salary space isn't what is keeping us from getting a 1st line RW. Unfortunately they just don't go on trees. I've come around on Crawford. Sure, he has a great team in front of him but the guy made all of the saves.

He's a one year wonder, I myself just wouldn't blow my load to sign the guy. Like we did with Leino. I mean yeah, he could be pretty great, or he could be that guy floating around on waivers.

And if one does become available we'll be left out because we dedicated 6 mil to a goalie who probably doesn't deserve it.

I think goaltending should be looked at short term till we have all the pieces up front. Then you can figure out how much you can dedicated to goaltending.

Weve have had quite a large sample size of having a good goalie and bad scoring and the results speak for why Id rather have better scoring and a lesser goalie.

In LU of prison term he should have to serve community service where he coaches a misfit youth hockey team, steal the best player in the league away from his former coach who somehow hadn't aged is 30 years.
