The question would be age, vs ability to increase his skating mobility. - puckhead17
Vinny has proven to be brittle on top of everything else
Look at all the injuries in his short time here
When he tries to engage and be more physical he ends up on the IR.
He can agree to mutually terminate , he can retire as an under 35 contract, both with no cap implications beyond the 2 mill bonus.
or
He can ride the wood and get zero ice time
or
He can try to play hard and injure himself somehow- based on the 2 previous years here its inevitable. If he does that I ask that fate makes it long term IR and hes off the roster and we can get some cap space. And maybe he will look in the mirror and say its not worth it anymore and retire |

I don't think Dineen is leaving unless it's for a head coaching job.

They need to wait for Stamkos to sign that offer sheet first, since everyone knows he's always wanted to play for the "hometown" Leafs. |

Just so everyone knows: After trading Erik Gustafsson and Brayden Schenn for Jacob Trouba in NHL15 2 seasons ago, Gustafsson was a UFA this season and came cheap on a $850K 2-way deal.

About as humorous as the two Rangers fans who wore tattered #31 Flyers jerseys with "Dead" on nameplate instead of Lindbergh when the Flyers made first trip to MSG. At least the majority of the crowd had enough class to give Flyers a polite ovation in honor of their ongoing mourning when they stepped out for warmups. - bmeltzer

Now OTOH, watching the Rags have the leagues highest payroll year after year while missing the playoffs year after year was (frank)ing hysterical!

I doubt Provorov lasts all the way till 10. - Feanor
The Flyers would be idiotic to draft Werenski over Provorov imo. |

Is the gap really that wide? Werenski may have higher upside. |

Thoughts?

In general I don't put much, if any, stock in mock drafts. As I said yesterday, the only sure bets at this draft are McDavid goes first, Eichel 2nd and Bettman gets booed like a mother(frank)er.

Yup. With 18 year old kids, none of us can really say for sure who will turn out to be the better player. |

Head of Central scouting says Lawson Crouse is the next Cam Neely, doesn't understand why Hanifin seems to be dropping in other evals. Loves Blackwood who showed off his athleticism at combine.
That's my report.

I believe it is. Of course I also think Hanifin is going to be much better than Provorov and Timo Meier should go top ten.
I'm an island over here.

Considering that Neely had 55+ goals and 120+points in his draft year, Mr. Crouse is going to have to pick up the offensive development pace a bit to live up to that comparison.
