He has to move Parenteau, somehow, someway.

Should move one of Emelin or Gilbert.

One centerman could move, not sure wich one. But #27 has to move at center ice for that to happen. And stay there.

Yeah! Let's go get a late 30s center that's over the hill!!!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

He plays a possession game and was effective in the west; playing in the east would help his game and he would still put 65 + pts per season...he isn't my first choice but (frank) would i take him over plekanec every day of the week.

ROR makes sense, considering COL need badly a top 4 D and take back Markov +. Other teams needing D include CAR and SJ, curious to see if E.Staal will be on the move. He would be my target to center the top line.

I also believe DD will play on the wing next year...

- Habsody

why would they take Markov? Makes no sense. Would you trade ROR for a 37yrs old D? The + better be something good

If ROR is demanding $7mil i take a hard pass on that.

Like the guy and would pay him $6 like he's currently making but i do not see a 60 pt guy being worth $7 mil a season...at least not yet.

He is 24 years old, plays a great two-way game and a very good possession player. Considering he is 2-3 years from his prime i don't see the issue in signing him 7M$/year long term personnally.

They need someone to play the right side of E.Johnson. Take a look on the market and give me a better answer for the Avs.

Do you guys think that Nikita Scherbak can make the team next season? We need help on the right wing and he is a RW...

Thornton had more points than all of those other centers being mentioned. He's a future hall of famer if you look at his career numbers. Only has 2 years left on his contract, but I guess signing OReilly ,who has had 2 good seasons , to the long term deal would be less risky right. Brad Richards and Vermette are over the hill too yet Chicago doesn't raise the cup last night without him. Everyone cant be 21

Yeah, cap moves are now mandatory. Not sure who goes and for what but next season is going to be a cap strapped season. If we are lucky one of Emelin, DD or Eller will be gone; though I get the sinking feeling that Plek will be gone since he is actually worthwhile to other teams and we could get back a 2-3 million dollar contract in return. As much as Plek gets some hate, he is a consistent 60+ point (20+goal) per season player, always a plus +/- guy. He is good in the face off circle and great on the PK... also rocks a solid tactleneck.

I think it would be a mistake to let Plekanec go.

You have to understand that most of us are kind of tired to watch him in the playoffs.

McCarron will be ready to begin a long and almost interesting AHL career, with many epic battles against the Marlies, Gauthier.

He isn't lighting up the scoresheet but I think he is still one of the better 2 way guys in the league. Someone has to get you there also

I dunno, maybe I have been a Plekanec fan for too long.

And if he never becomes more than a good 2 way 50-60 pt forward? Thats basically Plekanecs who we already have under contract for $5 mil

I like him. He's a very good player.

Problem is he doesn't seem to have an extra gear.

I'm tired of seeing him coast along in the series. There's no sense in making the playoffs and playing at the same level as the regular season.

This is Plekanec last season with the Habs either way, im pretty sure he gets a raise next year like all players do. Im not ok with a 6mil per year second line center "unless its a Ryan Kesler type" and believe me all indications are that Bergevin wont be either. And im a fan of Plekanec but the economics of it will not work.

I don't believe either player amounts to much. Your opinion may differ.

quote please?

I never said that.

If that is what he is demanding, then of course he has to go. I don't think any team pays him that, at this point.

For a more reasonable price, I am a big fan. I've wanted a guy like him on the Leafs for a while now.
