THIS one is for YOU Cpt

I am the KING!

I am unstoppable!

I will travel to find TALENT and progect SIX RINGS!

"I would rather NOT make the PLAYOFFS than LOSE in the FINALS!"

Jordan's Response: "I will always want to go as far as I can, I can't differentiate losing ANYTHNIG, its not in my blood. I will never take any of my journeys for granted. Sh*t I'm so compatative I'll go play a sport I'm not even good at just to CHALLENGE myself. I'm not afraid of losing, I'm afraind of not being Challenged!"

While the cards were stacked against him and he is a great player, he'll never be the GOAT.

I think I heard yesterday that they were close to re-signing Jones. I wonder if they would ultimately want to move Quick.
- Slump Buster

I heard that too about Jones, but I don't think they move Quick this year, not sure Jones is ready for that. But the Sabres could take Quick (Moulson's brother in law) and a draft pick off their hands if they want that contract off the books.

Doubt we would give that much up for that though. How many $6m/year goalies with that much term left are sought after? I would say not many. When Miller was traded, we had to hold salary and it was only for less than 1/2 year.

The talent level he is facing compared to others in that conversation pretty much guarantees that.

I agree hes not the Goat, but lets not discount that Jordans Bulls teams had some very good players around him as well as the lakers and so on. Better players than Lebron had after the 2 key injuries. I would definetly say he isnt as clutch as the others

After seeing what he brought to the table in Buffalo last season. This coming season...absolutely.

Fun question:

Do the Sabres go after Ehrhoff if he really does not resign with Pitt?

My guy says No (mainly because I don't know he would come back and we want another short term deal), but could be a decent signing.

he is 29 when we are starting to be good he may be on the downside of his career with a few years left. i would prefer we get someone a few years younger

I think he is close to GOAT, Jordan made the finals with much better teams 6 times, and LeBron has done the same now, but typically with replacement players (besides Heat years, which was 4 times). LeBron also lost in ECF like 4 times. LeBron is an animal, he can play at any position and play it very very well, not many other players are that versatile.

no but in 3 years when we start having a shot he will be 32/33.. with his injuries that could be nearing the end of his career

and 29 better not be old or i am screwed

He is still a great goalie and if he can steal us a few wins this year, we may make the playoffs and once you get in, it's all about the health of the players and matchups. So you never know. I know what you are saying, but I also don't think (after this offseason) that we are that far off the playoffs.

Especially for a goalie but when he turns 35 and there's still 3 years left on his deal it's impossible to predict what you'll have

Close yes but not the GOAT. If im building an all time team yes he may be first pick, but for clutch im going MJ. It would be great to see how the old timers whould do in todays NBA.

If his injuries make him retire, the cap hit penalty would go to team that gave him contract, LA, so less to worry about.

I know very little about NBA, but I do like LeBron. I just don't like people trashing him so much, besides "the decision" what has he done to make so many mad?

i wouldn't rush out to get your playoff tickets just yet.. we don't even know how this offseason will go down.. Hell Eichel is going to take a while to get into a groove in the league he may not be all that great this season.. At least he won't be top 6 material

Lebron reminds me a lot of Tiger. Not the greatest of all time but made the sport watchable again

I think by the end of October Eichel will have solidified himself in the top 6, if not the top 3. Not sure if you caught any of the World's, but he's more than NHL ready.

You don't know that, but I am not rushing out to get playoff tickets. I am saying with Murray he is trying to get a few proven guys and the team will be way better. If Hodgson is bought out, which I think will happen, it leaves another spot open for another trade / signing. He could trade all our picks next year and I would not be mad at all (and most of them this year too, if needed). We will be fighting for a playoff spot this year, I guarantee it. (my guarantee means nothing, lol)

I tend to agree with you. Sure he will make mistakes, but who doesn't. I think he is close than McDavid (in the short term) to play in NHL.
