He spoke about it which leads me to believe he's thinking seriously about it.

I didn't see the interview but I thought I read that he was asked if that was an option... And not that he brought it up. I could be wrong though.

Sounds like an old fashioned rope a dope. Maybne he just wants someone to deal with him instead of being sheeted

That's certainly possible.

Lowe did it twice (no longer the GM) Vanek and Pancakes
Feaster (Gone) RORORORORROROROR
Paul Holmgren (gone) Weber
Bob Clarke (gone) Kesler
Doug Wilson (still there) Hjarm

I think this is the last group of GM's to extend an Offer Sheet...
This is off of the top of Oprah's head.

Edit:

Backes and Bernier also...

7 days apart from each other... same teams.
A week later, the Blues returned the favor by tossing a one-year, $2.5M offer sheet at Canucks winger Steve Bernier. Not surprisingly, the Canucks matched the offer.

Only Penner worked out since 1997.

31 (+ prospect ) for Gibson/Jones

Girg and 21st for a ROR/Staal type of deal?

Trade for Lucic/Eriksson

Sign a top 2-3 Dman/Fowler (maybe Chicago lets Seabrook walk - cap reasons)

Keep looking forward, no need to look back, Nash (age) not right direction. We need 23-25 years to build this team as a dynasty!

- Irish 14

Seabrook is over 25

If he doesn't bring in a few bodies I can see his approval ratings drop like a stone in here.

Edit: rephrase "if he doesn't bring in anyone significant then I foresee his ratings dropping."

"here" and "fun" should never be in the same sentence on this site

This place needs a search option, or individual post history. Cant find something I posted months ago.

I dunno man, we got a clown on our site, he's pretty fun

post history would be hilarious, although it might make people afraid to speak their minds knowing you could so easily go back and highlight their mistakes.

Nobody get upset. Torrey Mitchell signed a 3 year deal with Montreal. I don't know how we'll survive.

I actually really liked Mitchell's play this past season. He was important for our early "success" (or scare depending on which side you supported ) in that 13 game run of 10-3. Felt he would be a perfect bottom 6 player.

Didnt think he was that popular for MTL fans, but do know he had a really good playoffs. Flynn did too.

I didn't really have an issue with him either. Just thought I'd be a smartass about the whole thing. That said, I don't really miss that he's gone either. I think Larsson can play very much like him, so I think we already have his role filled.

If Chicago closes it out tonight, and Golden State closes its series out tomorrow, I will be excited.

I actually wish the NBA and NHL would rotate nights for their Finals' series all the time.

Im extremely high on Larsson, as in -- I dont see the need to make a trade for a player like ROR -- high on Larsson. In fact, thats the post I was referring to when I said I needed to find something. Had to do with Larsson and his effect on Moulson and Ennis the final 20ish games he played with them. I cant remember when exactly I posted those numbers. Wanted to pull them up rather than redo everything again.

That said, even having Larsson, my lineup still could have had a use for Mitchell on the 4th line.

Saw some pretty intriguing trade proposals on Twitter today. No clue how legitimate they are or if they even make sense, but I'll share them anyway.

Arizona - Hodgson, Grigorenko, Zadorov, 21st pick
Buffalo - 3rd overall to draft Hanifin

St. Louis - 21st pick, 2 unnamed prospects
Buffalo - Backes and Oshie

Both sound unrealistic, but have fun with them!

I said the other day that my dream is to have a guy like Kruger on our 4th line. Meaning that he probably would be a 3rd liner on most other teams, but on a team as deep as the Hawks, he's a 4th liner. I'll be happy if Larsson ends up like him. Anything better than that is just a bonus for me.

Those are very realistic, and great trade proposals. You should post more often, good stuff man.

There is no way Arizona gives Buffalo the 3rd pick without the 2nd pick going back the other way. Arizona isn't going to move out of the top 10 let alone top 20 when they hold the 3rd pick. It just isn't going to happen.

I bet they'd seriously consider it if the deal involved Reinhart

I'd say thanks but no thanks if that were the case though from Buffalo's side.
