Can this talk slow the eff down. Zadorov is a great prospect, no doubt. But he is just that, a prospect. He has not proven he is top line D-man just yet.
- ImThatGuy

You're absolutely right. People just need to take it easy and let things pan out. Zadorov is a great prospect but a prospect none-the-less. We just went through two years of hell to get this plethora of high-end prospects and some will turn out to be great players and some won't, but we have enough to manage having some be busts. Only time will tell, but it will take time, so can we all step back for a minute and let the cookies bake for a while before we get in a rush to see what we can sell them for.

Right common sense, that right there is a dumb comment. You or anyone on here knows nothing about what any player is thinking. How many buzzards know Rick personnally?

This has consistently been one of my favorite arguments over the years.

In 2 more years, I'd agree. But as of right now, he's saying "Hell no."
- HonkFortheGoose

Yep, its obviously her OPINION, I think the fact he has a NTC should be considered, it happens to be a fact.

So nobody wants to pay ROR 7 mill with a contract extension but we will take on Nash and his almost 8 mill price tag ?

Who says Nash will even waive to come here ? He's not doing that.

- SABRES 89

42 goals >>>>17 goals

That's why paying Nash $8 million makes more sense than paying ROR $7 million.

I would take Nash over ROR but neither works for me as well.

I don't expect the Sabres to deal away their youth. Believe they'll development a fresh core and use picks (not prospects) to fill gaps.

Picks are most certainly not going to get a Nash trade done all on their own, so I guess we can just scratch him off the list of possible targets.

Right because the entire tweet is was based on what he believes, sure he is more connected than we are but its all based on beliefs. Not fact.

Anything can happen. Anything will happen.

For all Baker does, he has very little info as to what the brass is thinking.

If NYR calls and says Nash has accepted to waive his NTC to Buffalo. You can safely assume prospects would be talked about.

Until a player like Rick Nash becomes available. So like I said anything can, and anything will happen.

If NASH was ROR age, it would be a major trade and i would support it.

ROR - Two Way hard working Centerman NHL Proven , Perfect Age as this contract will include his PRIME. So paying 6.5-7.2 is worth it, but we are too deep at Center to give up too much, but if he was NASH, Strong, Goal Scoring Winger, that we could wrap up for his prime, THEN YES, TM I would request GMTM go find a way.

First, Eberle for RISTO is a JOKE being dreamed of by Edmonton's FAN Boys, NEVER HAPPEN

Second, Zadorov for Nash, is within reason if we we had made the playoffs and were close to making a run.

Sabres D-Men Stable aren't being stolen by anyone. The Peg is lucky they didn't like KANE!

- MEBSabresFAN

I agree Risto for Eberle is a joke, I wouldn't move Risto anytime soon. Was just having a bit of fun with what the proposals were thus far.

I wouldn't hate a Nash trade, depending on what exactly we're giving up for him. Same for ROR. But there are definitely certain players we have that I wouldn't want to give up in a trade for either of them.

I hear ya Big Stew, I love ideas from anywhere, you never know when one works, and its why we come here. If we all had the same ideas, this would be a very boring site.

I agree.

Risto, Reinhart, Eichel, and Girgensons top that list

Well ROR will get that from a team he's 24 and has talent so he will get that or close to it, he is what Murray is looking for. People claim we are 2 -3 years away, then why do they want Nash ? that makes no sense.

I'd figure out a way to poop out gold bricks if Rick Nash was in ROR's contract situation and age.

I agree with your "agree"

But I would add these players I wouldn't trade for Nash(at his age, 8 Mill)

Eichel, Risto, Girgensons, Reinhart, Zadorov, Pysk, Ennis ( In order of least wanting to trade)

We could talk seriously if NY isn't happy with Yandle & Nash, now that opens up some options.

I could handle trading Ennis but that leaves us short a RWer.

I am only trading 1 D unless I am getting another back.

21st, 31st, Zadorov and Ennis for Yandle and Nash

In all seriousness Yandle would be a better fit at this time than Nash.

I think I'm doing 21 OA for Yandle if the opportunity presents itself.
