No, some are suggesting that for RISTO to even enter into the conversation of making it into that teir that (he has a LONG WAY to go) So I asked how many D-MEN past Those agreed current TOP 15 would you place RISTO, and not suprisingly he puts 50 other NHL DEFENSEMEN that are BETTER than RISTO! I'm not overestimating RISTO's potential, but he is definately are UNDERESTIMATING Risto's probability of Success Big Time.

That was never my suggestion. I know that RISTO hasn't entered that level yet, good grief the kid is WAY ahead of schedule for a position that historically takes up to 4 years to become a fixture on a backend.

No one argued that, I said he isnt a 15 dman. Which you stated he was. At the moment, there are easily 50 dman in the NHL that are better than him. And you might not be overestimating Ristos potential, but you sure as hell are overvaluing his value, while at the same time undervaluing Drouins (and in this cause Tyler Johnsons) value.

A 20 year old with 32 points in his rookie campaign, seems like a nhler, or is ramsus barely a nhler since he has played in 112 games.

Ristolainen would have been in the AHL this year if he wasn't a sabre.

Maybe part of the year but he was solid the second part of the year, he played really well and was the Sabres #1 defenseman who killed penalties, played the #1 PP, played against the other teams top players. That seems far more advanced than an AHLer.

This is essentially why I wouldn't do it. It would hurt us on D and it wouldn't even be filling a position of need since we need help at RW and not so much LW. I'd be hesitant of giving up any assets for him at all because of that to be honest. I would much rather take what we have and use it to get a guy that fills that need.
