Probably accomplished just as much. can't see them giving him up at a discount after just 2 years.
- Sabresfan-365

but he hasn't done anything close to what Risto has done, not even close.

RISTO is equal in value to = Druin + Johnson

Sure handed, Big, Mobile D are just worth twice that of equally talented forwards based upon the rarity of the multiy faceted D-Man!

Risto is the Truth!

- MEBSabresFAN

Right now to a non sabres fan

Risto is a 4th d man with upside

There's a reason why Risto has played and will play and Drouin has not, the 21st + is more then fair

One's a forward and the other is a defensman though, so it's not that cut and dry.

One plays on a team current in the Stanley Cup finals, the other the team that finished in last place.

But two can play this game. Risto had 8 goals, Drouin had 4.

This was translated from a Swedish web-site

Anders Forsberg has found a new job.
According Allehanda he will start working for the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL.
Anders Forsberg got fired Modo in early 2015 and was replaced by Per-Erik "Perra" Johnsson. Since then, the former SkellefteƄ's coach without a job.
According Allehanda Forsberg has found a new employer - in the NHL.
The newspaper writes that the 48-year-old will start working for the Buffalo Sabres. It will be official soon.
Worked as a talent scout earlier
Before Forsberg became coach, he was a scout for the Ottawa Senators and was then Tim Murray general manager of the club. Murray is the general manager of the Sabres and will want to have Forsberg, according Allehanda.
Sabres took a minimum score of all NHL teams in the regular season.

All valid points, but they're both extremely young trading either based on what they've accomplished now is meaningless. It'd be like trading Reinhart for Horvat because he's "played more"

Potential wise they both project to have the same kind of impact for their respective team, hence why i suggested it would cost that to get him.

Was Drouin still Jr eligible this year? I'm assuming he was, because honestly, it may have been good for him to spend some time in the A if he wasn't. Even if it was only for part of the year.

How do you figure? People are really overestimating Risto, if anyone has the notion it would bring in Drouin.

Yea, they aren't trading Drouin unless it's for a dynamite player in return

He did. For 2 games. I thought it was just a conditioning stint though from the wrist injury.

It's amazing how much Sabres fans value other teams players and devalue their own.

I know there's always a fair perspective needed, but it's amazing how this happens all the time.

I agree this happens but think of it from TB's pov. Would you trade Drouin, a guy you took 3rd overall in what was considered one of the deepest drafts in recent history at just 20 years old for a guy taken 13 spots lower and a low 1st?

I think Risto would bring in Drouin. Age, talent, impact is about equal. Not a trade i would do at this point but i think that would get it done.

The notion Drouin was bad this year isn't true either. When he played, he produced points. Didn't score a ton of goals, but produced

Admittedly early on i was only stat watching him and just assumed he wasn't getting it done. Watched him play a couple of times and changed my mind.
