It's beautiful

Reporting from the City of Buffalo. It's been beautiful here all day. High 70s which I think is absolutely perfect. Not too hot, not too cold.

I was there last weekend. Only reason I knew what the temp was was because of my phone. I have no idea what the conversion is.

Finally got to go to the Hockey Hall of Fame. I have to say though, I feel like there's so much more they could do with it.

It was pretty lame in the early 90S compared to canton and Cooperstown

It's weird to me how they decided who gets a special display case. There doesn't seem to be any real rhyme or reason to it. I get most of them (Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr, etc). But why does Brett Hull have one? Really what did he do that was so special? Or even LaFontaine?

I did like looking at all the different trophies for the awards given out at the end of the year and finding the names of the guys from the Sabres that have won them.

It's a big deal to the average kid (which is really what i think they're aiming for) but i agree compared to other sports equivalent it is kind of a let down.

I haven't been to any of the others, so it's not like I even had anything to compare it to. Just thought there was a lot more they could have done.

That being said, Toews really likes to allow them to use his stuff, because they had quite a bit of his memorabilia from Chicago's cup wins in there.

Hull is 3rd all time in goals, scored 50 in 50, and threw in 86 one season. I remember mogilnys 76 goal season, it felt like he was unstoppable. Thats pretty impressive.

The Buffalo Sabres are waiting to see if there's validity to the speculation that soon-to-be restricted free agent Mikhail Grigorenko is signing a contract in the KHL.
Grigorenko, 21, is coming out of his three-year, entry-level contract with the Sabres, having played 25 NHL games this past season and 68 over the last three seasons. The Sabres initially indicated to the player at season's end they wanted to re-sign him but, for now anyway, were not prepared to give him a one-way contract.
There has since been talk Grigorenko will opt to return home to Russia and take a more lucrative offer in the KHL rather than contest for a spot on the Sabres on a two-way contract next season.

Might even be a good thing or us
He would get scooped up on waivers if we sent him down
And would prob have a hard time fining minutes if we kept him up here

Let him go develop in the KHL for a few years
We'd still retain his rights in the nhl for at least another 5 years
