I'm good. Didn't get up til almost 10 today. Been a long time since I could say that. Just spending the day on the couch with the pup now and doing laundry.

Speaking of things I haven't done in a while, I went to the mall for the first time in a long time. I came to the realization that the only t-shirts I own and haven't destroyed are from races/events or beer promo t-shirts a keep getting from a bar owner friend of mine.

Went to JC Penney at the Galleria, and they were selling solid-colored St. John's Bay t-shirts for 6 bucks. Buy 4, shopping done.

I have more T-Shirts than I know what to do with. But I hate to just get rid of them if they're still in good shape.

Same... I'm in the middle of changing style so it's about to go down though. Time to get rid of the expensive t-shirts and go with the other expensive t-shirts.
Because I hate cheap material.

Tried to shop at H&M but the material for their clothes is the suck.

I think Murray saying he wants to pick a goalie early in the draft is a total smokescreen.

They have plenty of options coming up in their own system and there are also solid options in the UFA market that could be used for a 1-2 year stretch that would do a good enough job to help the team while they're young goaltenders continue to develop.

I think Lindback would be fine as long as he got the bulk of the work.

- kingcong39

Maybe
It doesn't really make sense for Murray to come out & say it like that, so I guess we'll see. He's usually a pretty straight shooter though.

Who knows if he likes any of the goalies in our system?
Peterson finished strong, but was mediocre or about 2/3 of the season
Johansson was very average, and Ullmark was pretty average. Even if u do consider how bad his team was, u still would wanna see better than a .904 sv%

Also, Murray has specifically brought up trading for a young goalie numerous times, which makes me think he doesn't feel we have a future #1 in the pipelines.
I guess we'll see what he does
But I'm sure he will address the position in some manner this offseason

Just read on Spector that Bieksa or Hamhuis could be had for a 2nd round pick because the nucks really need to free up space. I wouldn't give up 31, but 51 for sure for either guy. Would throw in a 3rd for next year too if 51 isn't high enough.
- adambuffalo

Would prefer Hamhuis
Solid in his own end, & Bieksa is always hurt.
Plus Hamhuis is LH, so it's a better fit

My issue is that I have so many different types. I have ones that I wear for working out, some that I sleep in, and then the more stylish type that I wear for going out and stuff. The 2 large drawers I have full of them keep pleading with me to be cleaned out.

Probably time to get rid of the ones I accumulated when I worked at Verizon, but I keep hanging onto them because most are the long sleeve ones that I like to wear when I go running in the early spring.

You just never know with these goalies. We thought Knapp and Lieuwen were gonna be the future and look how that turned out. Petersen, Ullmark and Johnansson are at least 3 years away and will need to cut their teeth in the AHL first. Murray knows what he's got and that's why he is probably looking at a trade and/or FA signing this summer. He might just get one and let Makarov be the back up.

Ya, it's tough to project them out
Although I was never high on knapp. Lieuwen I was hopeful on.
Doesn't look like Makarov will be an nhl starter, not anytime soon anyways. He's so inconsistent, and that in the AHL.
I'm very interested to see if Ullmark can rebound from last year now that he'll be in Rochester. He's also coming off double hip surgery too though

I would say Ullmark and Petersen have the best potential at this point. Hopefully Ullmark will be 100% but hips can be a real problem for a goalie, especially at this level.

I'd be good for a trade/signing of a guy that can be the starter here for at least 3 years and let's see how the kids develop.

If Markarov becomes our back up, where does that leave Chad Johnson?

The Buffalo Sabres are waiting to see if there's validity to the speculation that soon-to-be restricted free agent Mikhail Grigorenko is signing a contract in the KHL.
Grigorenko, 21, is coming out of his three-year, entry-level contract with the Sabres, having played 25 NHL games this past season and 68 over the last three seasons. The Sabres initially indicated to the player at season's end they wanted to re-sign him but, for now anyway, were not prepared to give him a one-way contract.
There has since been talk Grigorenko will opt to return home to Russia and take a more lucrative offer in the KHL rather than contest for a spot on the Sabres on a two-way contract next season.

his ass is so traded. I'd say NJ is the front runner.

I agree, the Sabres should give give him that 1 way deal and then trade him if there is a deal worth making. When TM said in the interview he wasn't sure where he fit he couldn't have said he's on the trade market more clearer.

You don't think that Kolvachuk (sp?) thing might sour them on the KHL threat?

Let him go over, retain his rights, hope he shows something and then bring him back or trade him. No reason to trade him if he goes over as all you'll get in return is a puck bag.
