Writing off Reinhart is a stretch. However, if this team is going to be a championship team, he needs to be the #2, and not the number 1. In other words, Eichel had better be as good as advertised.

Reinhart has played 10 games in the NHL. It is a little ridiculous to say anything of the sort.

Got it. I don't know that Girgensons is even here. If he is, I had no clue.
- HonkFortheGoose

I'm not sure either, but I would think if Reinhart is training here it would be with the likes of Kane, Girgensons, Kaleta, McCormick, etc.

I've never seen a number 2 draft pick get shat on so much before even getting a real shot in the league.

Ok so I was listening to GR this morning and almost drove off the road when I heard this.

21, Larsson, Ruhwedel and next year's 1st for Arizona's 3rd and select Marner. (frank)ing nuts!

Do you really want to watch Arizona select Matthews 1st overall with our pick on our stage? Ouch, no thank you. Besides Marner is only 165lb. unless he hits a growth spurt over the next year I'd be wary of taking him.

Just to clarify, I'm commenting on the wgr commenters statement. Not you mhp.

But Marner has been quoted to say that he's not done growing and his brother is 6'2".

obviously he missed his science classes where siblings do not get the exact same genes...

No worries.

It's an awful trade proposal. A 4 for 1? Not a chance. And our 2016 1st? Never.

Especially since the 1 we would get, likely won't play or be effective next year.

OTTAWA SETS PRICE ON THEIR GOALIES

As reported by Bruce Garrioch from the Ottawa Sun, Sens GM Bryan Murray has set his price on what he is looking for from teams who are calling on his keepers. It is believed he wants a high draft pick along with a young forward who has the potential to play an everyday role in the top-six.

Another option for the Senators is to find a team willing to take on some salary in a swap for a goalie.

Greening and Cowan both have two-years left on their contracts averaging $2.65 million and $3.1 million, respectively, while Legwand has just one year left with a salary cap hit of $3 million.

Greening Lehner makes sense. Read somewhere earlier that Murray has interest in the latter.

Jared Cowen is one of Murray's guys apparently (Tim) that he scouted heavily I believe. He seems like a low risk buy

The reason the Sens want to dump salary in a trade for a goalie because they are budget team and need to re-sign Zibanejad, Hoffman and Stone and only have $9.2M in cap space. I wouldn't do any deal with them. You can trade a pick for Talbot or Lack.

I'd make that trade. I couldn't care less if it was 4 for 1 as I am (most likely) getting the best asset in the deal. Championships are won by stars and you can get a star at 3. Historically the talent level drops off a cliff after #5. Guys like Regier don't make trades out of fear of what might go wrong. You're getting a sure thing at 3.

Golden State putting it on James and the Cavs!

It was bound to happen, the longer the series goes, the more exhausted the Cavs short bench becomes.

James has been totally human tonight and looks exhausted.......Cleveland fans filing out early
