I'm quite sure that imo the leafs will probably make the playoffs already this next season

You know, 99% of the time I think you're off your (frank)ing rocker (this time is no different).

But I have had several of my hockey friends who are fans of other teams tell me the same thing. I don't personally think so, although (as per my last post), I do think you will see Kadri and Gardiner step up under Mikey B

I can see Kadri having a better season, no doubt.

Gardiner is, to me, a pretty bad offensive defenseman. That's all there is to it.

I'm inclined to agree, frankly. However, he showed something that has much smarter hockey folk think he's worth something, so I gotta think if it's there, Babs will get the most of it

Jake Gardiner's OPS is 2.7 and DPS 2.8 from 2013-14.

OPS is points share from the players offensive play and DPS is obviously points from his defensive play.

5.5 total is very good for a 2nd line d-man. He did take a step back last here, (1.1 and 1.7), but still has potential to bounce back.

Edit: if you look at Victor Hedman's PS he did pretty good in his first year (3.9) then 5.0 in his 2nd and the fell off the next two the produced a 9.0.

Not saying Gardiner is going to bounce back like that but just pointing it out there.

or right..my bad

worth a read for sure
Marner has the extra caresi factor..not afraid to mix it up ..which I think fans will like and Hunter/Shanny

I think we can all agree that is something the leafs can use

- senstroll

still have doubts on how well it will translate to pro.. but hey.. if the leafs end up with marner i wont be upset by any means

i have preferences.. but one of hanfin, strome, or marner and i will pleased

His damage per second is only 2.8? That's terrible for a rogue!

I barely understood anything you just said.

How does this affect him sucking while playing hockey exactly?

It's a stat that says how much a player contributes defensively and offensively to his teams scoring.

It says Gardiner had a pretty good 13-14 season and a bad one last year.

What I'm saying is he can easily rebound.

Then don't say anything.

If I want to give the coach a couple random nicknames, I don't think it's that big a deal

EDIT: You're just jealous because you want to call Therrien Mikey T, but now that makes you a big fat copier
