Minus the poverty and crime rate I'm sure it's a perfectly ok place to get large quantities of drugs for cheap with only a moderate to large possibility of being beheaded by a gang.

After we trade some of the plugs we should offer sheet Dougie Hamilton to cause a stir.

I wish more teams would do this. Teams would be a lot more careful with their pending RFA's and having too little cap space.
6.7 million per for dougie, that would put boston in a bind |

Yeah that's too much money though. I'd say 5.5 x 4. Make Boston spend right to the cap. |

Crazy to put in offer sheets unless you actually want the guy and are prepared to give up the picks. Boston already in a cap bind |

I'd imagine the most teams wouldn't mind a top pairing d-man for a 1st,2nd, and 3rd. especially if that team is good. |

lets say a team like the islanders does this, and they make it to the conference finals.
Dougie Hamilton for 27,57,and 87 would be a steal |

Thought you were talking about Leafs. Leafs can't afford to give up that many picks for one guy |

I don't think Hamilton makes a difference for the Islanders. Plus they don't have a 2nd round pick to do that. Most teams that he'd make a difference (Pens, Blackhawks, Kings) don't have the picks to make the trade. |

If leafs offered 5.4 million to Hamilton, only 100k less than the 5.5 suggested, it's only a 1st and a 3rd. If we trade Kessel, phaneuf, and jvr, we should be getting back 1st for all 3, possibly in the 2016 draft. That replaces what we gave up in the 1st round, we also have an extra pick from the winnik trade (I'm at work on my phone so I can't remember if it's a 2nd or 3rd). We basically would've added Hamilton for a good rate and he pairs up with rielly on our top pair. Don't know how anyone would argue against it.
I know that it will never happen, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be if we did offer sheet Hamilton. |
