Ask yourself this why do the Rangers reportedly want to deal Yandle after such a short stay and a hgh price they paid and a year left on his contract?

I haven't seen him play enough to comment about his play but I wasn't overly impressed with him in the playoffs. Ambivalent

I'd say because Girardi's contract is untradeable and Dan Boyle might just retire.

I don't know, even if Yandle was bad in the postseason, he's an absolute steal at under 3 mil. I don't think they trade him unless it's for a lot

For our PP to get better we need a guy like Yandle back there, I would take him but wouldn't give the house for him. If you could get him for a deal like the Isles did with Leddy or Boychuck I would be all for it.

The Rangers are going to have to move a player or players due to the cap issues, some talk about offer sheets and IMO the Kings and the Rangers are in worse shape for offer sheets then the Hawks or Blues.

I would rather go cheap and just get Slava Voynov from the kings it could be a Real Steal for us and I would love it

I don't the Blues in all that much trouble, they have a lot of guys they could move fairly easily for good return and plug someone right in there without missing a beat (and another 1st round loss). The Hawks always seem to make something work but not sure they can spin much magic this time around.

They could use a PP QB for a good price.

I didn't say the Blues were in that much cap trouble as the Kings or Rangers are.

Well Devan Dubnyk negotiations have been going on for a week or two now and there’s no deal in place. “It’s going to be difficult, the Minnesota Wild are a cap strapped team right now, and they want to buy out their veteran goaltender Niklas Backstrom but he’s got elbow surgery coming up,” added McKenzie.

He’s unrestricted in the summer, a team like the San Jose Sharks for example would be looking for goaltenders and instead of trading for one maybe they could sign one as a free agemt.”

“A lot of people are watching to see how these negotiations unfold.”

I'd pass on him as well, he fit into the Wild's system and players. Before that he was average

It's not really a coincidence that any goaltender that's looked good with another team has looked awful with Edmonton. That tells me that Edmonton is the problem and not the goaltender.

Dubnyk has actually changed the way he plays since he's been there there. NHL.com had an article about it. Has to do with the way he tracks the puck and anticipates the play in front of him.
