I know.

They might be interested in a Tampa 1st+Streit for their first, but thats a bit of a steep price to move up about 10 spots for the Flyers.

- PhillySportsGuy

Yup it is. Not sure I would do that to move up from 29/30 to 19. If Streit had more term left on his contract I would.

Pierre is actually very good,he got a bad reputation because of his extreme Sid obsession but that have cooled off

I like Streit. He's a nice player. I'd trade him to anyone to get into the top 20.
- PLindbergh31

With grossman possibly being moved, I think they'd lack leadership and guidance on the blue line if streit is traded. They could have a lot of younger players and a Russian import next season. It might be tough without enough veteran talent to help them through it. I'd look at moving him around the trade deadline though if the flyers aren't in the mix again.

I'm not trying to paint Streit as a Bobby Orr, but I can't imagine this team right now without him. Especially on the PP

Streit is gone after 2016/2017. I don't think any of the Flyers kids are going to play this upcoming year on the back end. So, by the time they are ready Streit will be in the last year of his deal, or gone altogether.

Whether any of them make it not, I still think they'd have a leadership issue, not to mention a lack of puck moving offensive defensmen

Maybe, but the Flyers are unlikely to be legit contenders the next couple of years, so if they are lacking in leadership, it's not the end of the world.

That said, I would still like to see them in the playoffs, get in the tourney and anything can happen. I don't want to be watching meaningless hockey games in February this year.

Neither do I. It's painful. That's another reason id like to hang on to him unless they are out of the picture around deadline time.

I really want them to (frank)ing unload. There are like 5 players on this team who I envision being with the team long term.
