I would not mind Rick Nash if it got rid of Matt Moulson I'm all for it

If it will not cost a ransom im for it too. Even if its just for the duration of his contract, you could even move him the last year to a contender for assets if we are not in position to make a run by then.

He would push people down the depth chart providing insulation for the kids while giving whichever center plays with him a bonafide top line player to work with.

I'm just not a Matt Moulson fan at all I think he's slowly going to get worse every year many people are going to disagree but I would trust Rick Nash more to score than him

I dont think anyone would disagree that Nash is much better than Moulson, Nash just chokes in the playoffs but who cares about that during a rebuild?

I dont mind moulson so much, i think in a tough spot he actually performed decently this season. If its moulson and a pick or something for Nash absolutely.

I do think the way moulson scores his goals would bode well for reinhart and eichel who will most certainly need the puck on their sticks to create.

I agree, he had what 1 good season with 2 Allstars. Other than that hes pretty blah Id definetly take Nash over him any day. Moulson is a guy I could se get bummped down as the years progress he could be a 3rd liner in 2 years

moulson is a one trick pony. not a great skater, not a big hitter, not a defensive forward- guy does one thing well- goes to the net and scores when hes with a good setup man. hes gonna get 5 million a year to watch games with a nice dress shirt and sports coat combo if hes not on one of our top two lines.

I understand about Moulson. I wanted him on the team but his presence seems to be fading. I figure he'll serve as a decent vet at wing until one of the kids supplants him. Watching Nash in the playoffs he just doesn't have the grit and determination to take it to the next level. That won't change coming here.

I put him in a list of thse 1 trick ponies and hes towards the bottom of that list. Without a star out there hes not worth a whole lot. Hell be put on the top line adn produce rather well and we will think hes better than he is

Malkin unhappy in Pitt? Would anyone take a shot at him?

Would have to believe it would be
21st overall
31 overall
Psysk (or Zadorov)
Grigorenko
and maybe another offensive prospect

Too much? not a good move?

I mean out of all 700 (approximate) players who do you want the least on this team?

Hey friends, check out Bobby M's pre draft rankings.

http://www.tsn.ca/mcdavid...al-draft-ranking-1.296839

Of Note:
Kylington still slipping a bit, Samsanov rising quite a bit, Jeremy Roy falling, Jordan Greenway falling far, Colin White slipping a bit, Marner swaps with Strome (interchangable IMO), Provorov rising..

I was thinking of placing Bracco on the of note area, but he hasn't really moved at all.

As much talent as he has, he's incredibly average on how he uses his talents. He's small, his skating is average, he doesn't shoot nearly enough, he gets beaten in traffic/walls, and his compete is pretty average.

That said, he has a lot of developing to do, but if those areas can improve, I'd say in the event of a 2015 redraft in 2020, I bet he can land in the top 30.

I don't know if you've done any research on Denis Gurionov, but if we sit on the 21st pick, he could be a real smart play. Excellent speed, dynamic sniper, could fit in very well on an Eichel line with Kane. That line would ruin you.

I think the Russian factor bumps him down a bit.

I don't know if much has changed but earlier in the year there was a lot of talk in europe that he's committed his near future to the khl.

Again unless things have changed, it sounds like he will be unavailable to his draft team for the next few years (a la tarasenko).

That in of itself makes it worth the 21st pick. We're in no rush to be great. Imagine we have all these current prospects just joining the ranks in Buffalo, and here comes Tarasenko pt 2 to close everyone the (frank) out with mad skillz

If we could trade Moulson for Nash straight up, then of course.
But I doubt the Rangers would take Moulson back at all in any deal. The whole reason they need to trade him is BC of Cap reasons.

I think ppl would object less if we didn't have to give up a lot to get Nash (which we prob still will), and if he wasn't a 7.8mil Cap hit.

Toronto seems like a good fit for Nash.
They have a young guy like Kadri they can send back, plus picks... But it depends if they want to try & get back to the playoffs ASAP, or they're going to do a full rebuild. I believe Babcock coached Nash on team Canada

If u had you're choice...
Roy or Kylington at 21, who would u take?

And what if Werenski fell to like 15...
Would u trade a 2nd to move up for him?
