Also, the one thing that several people are saying is that we should keep him around to try to rehab him into something that can be moved. It seems like even in the best case scenario his supporters don't want him.

If he turns into something that can be moved, it doesn't mean you have to move him though. Basically what it means is that he's actually a competent player, which I believe isn't a stretch. But at least at that point you have flexibility with what you want to do with him.

Guys tend to get moved as they get older just because it's how teams keep themselves under the cap. The young guys are cheaper and there's only so much room for the older guys with the bigger contracts.

Bylsma's teams fell apart in the post season defensively.

Some of that may be true but Fleury looked like he had never played before in some of those years. That was probably the worst playoff goaltending that I've seen in my 30+ years of watching hockey.

If you are going to say that Bylsma should have come close to another cup with average gosltending, than you have to acknowledge that his cup win was because of how great Fluery was in 09. It goes both ways.

He led a terrible team in scoring just over a year ago. His contract isn't as bad as many around here think it is.

Since it's a rookie contract, no team really has an advantage over the others in that regard, which is why I think it ends up being a team like Chicago. They're participating in their 3rd SCF in 6 years. No other team can say that and that's a pretty nice chip to have in your pocket to play if need be.
