I dont see us affording eberle, unless they would take Ennis and the islanders 1st ( which I dont see happening)

Mike green
Cody Franson
Justin Williams
Brad Richards (whom I mentioned about a week ago)
2nd round pick for martin Jones
Chris Stewart
buy out Cody

Kane Eichel Williams
Ennis Richards Stewart
Moulson Girgensons Foligno
Deslauriers Larsson Gionta/Mccormick

Franson Ristolainen
Bogosian Green
Pysyk Gorges

Jones

I don't hate it.

McCabe(one more year in the Ahl), Zardorov and reinhart (1 or 2 years in the AHL)

- ImNoTroll

So we magically no longer have Grigs? And if Sam is in the AHL at all, it won't be anywhere near the whole year, let alone 2. Can't see Zads there for 2 either.

Very interesting series of interviews in Garths blog about players' reactions to Bylsma hiring:
Girgens: Yeah, just talked to him.

Bogo: Yeah, we said hello.

Gionta: I had a nice little talk with coach.

DLo: I ran into him and introduced myself after a workout.

PK36: I haven't been able to get past his secretary.

Say goodbye, Patty.

A second rd'er for Eddie Lack? I can live with that.

Lack has been a reliable player for Vancouver, so much that they traded Lulongo.

How about a tandem of Eddie Lack & Robyn Lehner?

This. He's garbage. I can't understand why anyone would trade for him when we can sign a FA goalie for free.
- DynamicThreads

I wouldn't say "garbage" but I feel like this conversation has vastly over-hyped him.

Ideally, I'd like to see him backed up by a vet towards the end of his career that doesn't mind only getting 10 or 12 games a season. No idea who that would be. The danger is that Lindback had a lucky stretch last year with us and returns to "worst goalie in the league" form.
If he keeps playing like he did with us, he may end up playing in this league longer.

Lack has been a reliable player for Vancouver, so much that they traded Lulongo.

Luongo was traded because he demanded a trade. It had nothing to do with Lack's skill set. Also they believed so much in Lack that the Canucks went out and got a new starter in Miller.

Did you see Lack's play in the post season? Absolutely horrible.

Lehner? You have to be kidding. The guy will be out of the NHL soon. His concussions will catch up with him soon and to be frank he hasn't been good at all. Rather have Lindback.

The goalie we should be targeting is Andrei Vasilevskiy.

- Jammerz04

i can't see that happening without giving up WAY too much.. he is still on entry level contract and they will ride that out to either trade bishop or him for the farm

If Kaleta could stay healthy, he can be an effective player. The problem is he spends way too much time in the press box with some sort of ailment. Time to move on.

Unfortunately, he also has a target on his back where the refs are concerned, so he can't really play the style game that he's best at anymore. He gets called for penalties that most of the time wouldn't be called. Can't do his job if he's in the penalty box or press box.

and that is his fault for dumb plays in the past

I defended him for the first few years but after the johnson and richards hit, I am over him

Agreed. But it has rendered him useless at this point. Which is why it's time to move on. It's a shame, because he does quite a bit in the community and stuff. Maybe another team will pick him up.

i think it was about in his third full season he started to show some offense along with the grit. but then he started getting stupid and dropped the offense.. Once he got that reputation he was done. he can't look at players on the other team wrong or he will get a penalty. time to move on

i find it hard to believe that any other team will pick him up.. he is a great local guy and maybe he can move into some sort of rob ray type of job. I am out of town so i never got to see his post game interviews.. could he do that?

In 09-10 he had a good season and talked about progressing his game and never did try. Instead he acts like a bulldozer and injures himself instead of playing hockey.

Wait what?

Justin Williams is your top line RW?
No Reinhart or Grigorenko?
I want no part of Stewart back here
Moulson is not a 3rd line winger (yet)
Your captain is not playing the 4th line either.
I am not sold on Jones.
I am interested in Green but at a good price which is probably not going to happen

This is the equivalent of:

A bucket of puke is easier to drink than a bucket of crap.

It's true, but it doesn't mean you really want either option.

Not only that, but this is a lot of moves and after Bylsma signed it was basically said that we shouldn't expect too much movement. They may make a few small tweaks, but for the most part, they aren't bringing in a bunch of UFAs or anything.

What I expect to happen.

1) Draft Eichel
2) use 2nd first round pick in a trade for established NHL Winger.
3) Sign a D-man
4) Sign a goalie
