Over the last 15 years, what Flyers second round pick has had the biggest impact for the Flyers?

I mean it can't be Andreas Nodl right? RIGHT?

Considering that between 2000-2011 they used a grand total of 4 second rounders, the pickings are slim.

Nodl, Marshall, Bodrov & Ratchuk are the only players they took in round 2 during those 12 years. They didn't even have a second rounder in 10 of the 12 drafts during that time-Nodl, Bodrov and Ratchuk were all taken in one draft.

Yikes. Slim pickings is right. They did hit on Renberg in 1990, and to a lesser extent Ninimaa a few years later. I would say Renberg has been the only real difference maker from the second round over the last 25 years. There were a ton of years like you mention where they haven't had a second rounder.

Marshall is a better soul train line dancer than Subban. Take that P.K.

It's amazing how often they didn't have a 2nd rounder. Half the 1990's they didn't have a 2nd rounder either.

They've hit on a few over the years. Renberg, Simon and Niininmaa in the 1990's. Greg Johnson, Scott Mellanby, Jeff Chychrun, Peter Zezel and Pelle Lindbergh in the 1980's. Probably never going to top Bobby Clarke as a 2nd rounder, though

Clarke, Pelle, and Renberg is damn good. Makes you think if they had more second rounders over the years you have to figure they would have found a few more gems.

Tom Bladon, Bill Clement, too. Yes. Hanging onto the 2nd rounders would be great

you never know who they would have selected had they kept their picks, but it would be interesting to look at impact players around the league over that span who were taken then. i'd guess there are plenty.
