The surrounding RM saw it's population drop by Approx. 50 people during that time to 1974.

The nearest center with a population over 350,000 people remains Calgary, Alberta, 321 miles away.

Dear Mr. Eklund,

I am writing to you about your open position for the Vegas Golden Knights Blogger. I am very interested in this position as I see Vegas as a fantastic opportunity for the NHL to grow and the bring new fans to this website. I have no credible sources. I probably won't even watch a single game. But that's what NHL.com is for. Here's a little nugget I can divulge.

Ken Hitchcock is the perfect candidate for the Vegas Golden Knights. But wait Streit2ThePoint, wasn't he going to retire after the 2016-2017 season? Yes. But he was fired. And even though he left the Blues organization amicably, there's no doubt the coaching flame is still lit. Hitchcock is a seasoned NHL head coach with experience in rebuilding teams. In his first full year of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Hitch led the team to its best record of the franchise. Now, I don't see Hitchcock as a long term solution for the Knights, but I think he is a great candidate to get this team on it's horse.

I can't promise I'll write a blog every day. Nor can I promise it will be longer than a sentence. What I can promise you is controversy. And when there's controversy, there's debates. And when there's debates, there's activity. I'm not asking for compensation. I'm asking to be the Vegas Golden Knights Blogger.

when we get bored with the whole thing we will write an entire blog with every word misspelled and just making asinine points worded in ways that anyone who understands english and or the sport of hockey can't make heads or tails of. at the end of that last blog we'll include a little something about our years of journaljism school and how we wrote a best selling book and have worked for an nhl team previously.
