I have no idea whether Fowler was being offered or not but, unless you are Bob Murray or know him, you have no authority to make that statement. If Tyler Myers was being bid on then it is likely Fowler/Lindholm/Theodore were in the discussion. - tredbrta
We follow the Ducks. Trading Fowler/Lindholm for Myers isn't an upgrade. Lindholm, Fowler, and to a lesser degree, Theodore, aren't going anywhere. Fowler's name was rumored, but while anything is possible, doubt Murray is offering Fowler up in trade unless the return is significant. Definitely not for Myers.
note: from a contract status alone it wouldn't make sense. |

if i can start my team today, with any d man, just for 1 year, and not taking into account contracts, im still taking shea weber. and just in advance, i know he hasnt won a cup. - flyershockey
I honestly think Shea Weber is overrated.
If anyone else in the league got away with as much holding and interference as he does, they would be dominant too. He literally has a 5 second window to grab and hold on to any player once the puck is gone
But hes got that super awersum shot, or somethin... |

you arent using literally correctly, because if he was holding someone for literally 5 seconds, it would get called.
either way, there are probably 5 or 6 dmen where if you asked 6 people, you might get 6 different answers. its nitpicking on the top end guys.
speaking of dmen, we have a few available... |

Not at all. It was RUMORED Buffalo wanted Fowler. Murray said NO. Again, Fowler was NEVER a part of a trade proposal FROM AN ANAHEIM perspective. - quackup
Please link to the NSA recordings of the conversations between the Murrays you obviously have access to.

no, he gets away with laughable amounts of time holding and interfering with guys
need I mention that he rammed a guys head into the glass and the NHL only fined him?
They clearly favor him |

The better question is, will Q put faith in them? I think not and that leaves 2/7 to play 25+ mpg. Not ideal over 82 games. - Kentxo
You will see Q try to manage the D minutes over the reg season again. Not ideal for piling up points but should be thought process again. |

Career Stats will make you say differently.
Reg Season:
Weber - 146 G, 246 A, 392 pts, +55 (10 seasons)
Keith - 75 G, 340 A, 415 pts, +137 (10 seasons)
Playoffs:
Weber - 45 games, 10 G, 11 A, 21 pts, -2
Keith - 109 games, 14 G, 56 A, 70 pts, +29
If you want your team with playoff dominance, you won't be doing with Weber. Unless you are planning on just being a good regular season team and sh*t the bed in the playoffs. Much like Nashville and the Flyers. |

Agreed. Prior to the WIz/Despres trades though I would not discount the possibility of a discussion. "Doubting Murray is offering" is a big difference from your earlier absolute denial. Totally agree with your opinion. I would call Fowler and Lindholm untouchables right now.

Says the homer with Blackhawk colored glasses. In your opinion the guy you watch play every game is better than the guy you rarely watch, oh what a surprise. I can say the same thing about Letang, but only because I watch him play every game of the season. You on the other hand who watch him play 1-2 times a year are going to do nothing but bash him. But Letang is to the Penguins what Keith is to the Blackhawks and what Doughty is to the Kings. The Kings are known as a deffensive team but their best defenseman doesn't log effective minutes, ok that makes sense? - Dcoms
And your assumption is that he doesn't watch a lot of other hockey games. Which might be right but be careful making blanket statements like that about Hawks fans. Over the past five years I have seen as many Pens and Sharks games as Hawks games not to mention a lot of other games for other teams.

Im not thrilled about the pending cap purge that's coming again this summer but... with the kids waiting to come up like Baun, Panarnin, McNeil, Hartman, Danault, Ross... This team will have more size and snarl to go with 19, 88, 81, 20 and 86. We may not have much of a drop off and might be that much harder to play against.
Stan really needs to focus on the D. Id rather have a legit 1-6 on D and trade CC then stay with the schit show that is the current D line up outside the big 4. Big 33 can handle the net with Raanta backing him up. Its gonna be a money thing and CC may be a casualty. 33 is a good netminder. Give him a solid 1-6 on D and he is that much better.. |

As a NHL Center Ice subscriber I follow four teams regularly:
The Hawks (of course)
Tampa Bay
Columbus
Minnesota (Center Ice not needed but I'm kinda forced to with where I live)
I had Columbus and Tampa meeting in the ECF before the year started. And the Kings meeting the Hawks again in the WCF. I guess 50% isn't terrible....or whatever.... |

the amount of talent on chicago is light years ahead of what his nashville teams have been, thats an absurd comparison to make, especially with the playoffs. |

You're either a troll or grossly ignorant
If Letang was as good as Keith, then why has Letang never made an olympic team and never won a norris trophy? |

I thoroughly enjoyed my 1st intermission bud heavy last night while going through my time line and see that gem by good ole Uncle Barry Rozner.
Hawks 0-11 on faceoffs
I then sat in silence and couldn't think of a faceoff the hawks LOST, and of course........Uncle Barry gave no retraction. Just the smug @ss hat that he is....speaking of which I did see Rick Morrisey wandering around the concourse in the 300 level before the game. Like a kid who lost his puppy.........Eddie was there around 510 doing what I assume was a phone interview based on the few words I overheard as he strolled by........ |
