It is more likely that in 3-4 years regardless of a deep run or not, that if there is at minimum no stanley cup appearance the sabres will be looking for another coach anyways. Dont give in just because you have a ton of picks. Stick it to an organization trying to stick it to you because they traded all their picks and prospects away.

From listening on WGR, why wouldnt they ask for compensation for shero? Hmm maybe because the Devils are a hurting organization as well...

My question is, since we do not have a 3rd rounder this year, and Pitt wants picks this year, how does this pan out? Do the ask for a 2nd? Where do we draw the line and tell them to frank off?

It's easy to make guys look silly in the NCAA or when you're playing Germany or France in the World Championships. I think this guy will be a good player, but not convinced he will be a dominant player at the NHL level. His comparable to me, is someone like Paul Stastny."

I'll admit, I was hoping he'd have a better showing in the WJC, but he more than held his own in the World Championship this month. Did this guy watch that tournament with his eyes closed? He was out there with Trevor Lewis for Christ sake and still managed 7 points in 10 games.

He's also from Freeport, so he also has ties to the area.

As far as the questions surrounding his strength, the same thing was a concern for Kane. He seems to have managed just fine.

But they want picks this year.... so what happens with that? Its up to them on when they want the pick and with them only having 1 pick in the first 5 rounds this year, its gonna be a pick this year, i just dont know what that means for us.... i guess we will find out.
