Whatever coach they hire, I just want them to be able to put the young players in a position to succeed. We haven't had that in years.

I think you got this one right.

That's why Richardson, Hynes or Reirden would be solid choices as assistants.

Meant Hynes. If not as head coach id certainly like him as an assistant but i can't see it happening if someone else is offering him the top job.

Did NJ interview him? If not, would love to have him and Granato as assistants with Bylsma.

Pitts AHL coach. Guess you could call him the new and improved bylsma 2.0

I think he's second to Blashill as far as coaches from that league go.

In his 5 years at Wilkes-Barre he sports the best coaching record in the AHL at 186-102-20 record.

He would certainly be a good choice. In my view I would think they would go for a vet coach but with Shero there he knows Hynes very well.

Yes it is, considering he's coached a less than impressive group of young guys over his 5 years there.

Well maybe if we get Bylsma he will put together a good staff and players will come here for that.

Agreed. Just a guess on my part but I say he brings in Granato and Hynes as his assistants. If Hynes goes to NJ, there's Richardson, Reirden and Nelson. He could make one of these guys an Associate Coach.

Wouldn't Granato go with Babcock to the Leafs ?

He only coached with him for this year. He was with Bylsma in Pitt since 2009.

Not a huge fan Granato tbh. I don't know what about him makes him so appealing other than he worked under babcock.

IMO...hiring Bylsma is a.mistake. I want to.go on record now, before the hire..
I didn't respect him in the Olympics nor as the Pens coach.
the recent Blogs have confirmed my feelings I'very had about him.
Way, way too many warning signs..explained away as "he might have learned".
I'mean hoping NJ swoops in and saves the Sabres from making another bad choice...lime sticking with Lindy way too long.
