21st, 2nd in 2016, and idk what else we would have to add

It'd probably have to be a decent prospect.

Gerbe's right, we'd have an easier time getting bishop.

Wow an asinine comment , and profoundly rude as well.

Why doesn't crosby and malkin win every year If that was the case.

- Mentalorgasm5

Actually, u r right (and I wouldn't have said anything if I had realized (at the time) that I was replying to Irish (cuz I really like his commentary overall), so let me apolagize for being a d!ck.

While I do feel like 1 Cup for Crosby & Malkin is prob considered an underachievement, rather than the smashing success that it is...

Bylsma is (in the end), a bonafide NHL coach & a decent hire for a club seeking some credibility.

Same as Gibson, you're buying into the potential that he will be great (showed it during the regular season).

He's also only 20 years old.

Gibson, Campbell but we aren't going to get one that young. I don't want Lehner

Vasilevsky has out performed both of them, and he's younger. Projected to have a higher ceiling as well.

If he wasn't russian the media (and let's be honest fans as well) would be pumping his tires.

Edit: Campbell couldn't stop a beachball in the ECHL....

What are you talking about..? Other Pitts coaches?

So what if Bylsma is better than his former Pitt predecessors?

He's better than a bunch of bums, wtg YAAAY!!

If we are talking strictly "statistically" (in regards to winning Cups) then...

How many coaches have won multiple Cups, but with different teams in NHL history?

NONE??

This has actually been mentioned a few times these past few weeks. There's 1, and it's Scotty Bowman.

Vasilevsky was projected by most to be the 2nd rated prospect goalie heading into the season.

I am thinking it would cost the 2nd 1st rounder. Idk if Murray is willing to move that for a goalie though. Not sure I would a big fan, if that is the actual cost.

Seems there will be a lot of goalies available once the playoffs conclude, and I would be fine with a handful of them, and would be all for landing one that would only cost a 2nd. I really would like to see that Islander pick bundled with a roster player, and a prospect, to bring in a top 6 forward who can play on the right side of the ice.

I'll take a young Bylsma over Nolan and Rolston every day of the week

It would be a nice change from the last 9 seasons

Todd Nelson is only 45, and what he did with a very young oil team while he coached them last season was amazing. Even after losing Perron and long stretches of injuries to Taylor Hall (and getting Derek Roy to pitch in as help) he improved the team's winning percentage from 7 - 19 - 5 (0.35) to 17 25 9 (0.51).

Plus, individual players showed marked improvement. Special teams is what he excels at. I'd go this way

Crosby and Malkin vanish in the playoffs, that's why they are golfing yet again
